How On Earth Can You Create A Lens Every Day? Won't You Run Out of Things To Say?

The truth is that anyone, with the right mindset and commitment, can write at least one quality Squdioo lens per day. That doesn't mean that you will pull a Squidoo lens out of the sky every day - some may take days to prepare. However, with what's already in your head, you can create quality Squidoo lenses RIGHT NOW, based on what you already know. If you follow these tips, you can develop your own mind and knowledge base into a wellspring of information that will put you on the road to becoming a Giant Squid in no time!

How To Find Enough Content To Create One Squidoo Lens a Day

If you are taking The 60 Day Squidoo Challenge, you may have some real concerns about how you will manage to create one quality lens per day. That adds up to a lot of lenses FAST, and you don't want to run out of ideas and just start writing crap. You also don't want to get overwhelmed and burn out by week two.

So, how do you come up with that much quality content?

Believe In Your Brain

First, you have to understand and believe that you are an expert on a number of things. Yes, really; you are. Just because those things may not be hugely popular, it doesn't make you any less an expert. Think about what you are good at, what you are passionate about, and what you do frequently. Even if it is as seemingly insignificant as knowing the best local restaurants or the best brands of over the counter teeth whitener, you know something that other people don't know and may want or need to know in the future.

Those things are Squidoo lens topics!

Take an Interest Inventory

Secondly, think about the things that you are interested in, but may not feel like an expert on. With a little research, you could write a short report on your findings and how they apply to your interest, right? Those topics are good Squidoo lens topics as well! No, you may not be an electrician, but with a little research coupled with some personal experience, you could write a great lens about CFL light bulbs. Just make sure that you give credit where credit is due - plagiarism is nothing to play with, and nothing that you should expect to get paid for, either.

Dig Deep

Thirdly, consider the topics we have previously pondered and then think of all of the subtopics that emerge as a result of writing about the main topics. If you write about the differences between the OTC teeth whiteners available, you can also write about each individual brand, as well as homemade teeth whiteners that you have tried and/or researched, as well as the popularity of professional teeth whitening, and so on. Link all of these lenses together, and you can create a wealth of information and a real web presence, all about something that you didn't think was valuable. However, someone searching the web for information on the best teeth whiteners will greatly appreciate your expert knowledge. The search engines will appreciate Squidoo's Google Page Rank, pushing your lenses higher in the listings, and you will find out that your expert knowledge was worth more than you thought.

Everyone's a Critic - Including YOU

Fourthly, write reviews. Review different products, services, entertainment, or whatever you have an opinion on that other people care about. If you see a sneak preview of a movie, be the first to create a lens about it. If you get in the ground floor on a new biz op, be the first squid to review it for those who will be searching for information on it. Remember, search engines LOVE well constructed, highly informative Squidoo lenses - I have searched for info on Yahoo! and Google and found Squidoo lenses on the topics in the first pages of my results.

Make sure your lenses fill those spots.

My Personal Guarantee

If you use these methods and you continue to expand your knowledge and experience base, you will find yourself having more to write about than time to write it.

And THAT'S how you can write at least one quality Squidoo lens per day!

Ask questions. HeyMonkeyBrain and SquidQuiz lenses are all about asking questions. Ask great questions with a bit of background content, and you've got a great lens that others will add to.

Another helpful lens! I use an Excel spreadsheet to list all of my possible ideas. When I'm out of lenses to work on, I go back to that spreadsheet, add more ideas since I haven't looked at the list in awhile, do some keyword research and one from the list will stand out for me and on I go. Before keeping a list, I found I struggled in between lenses trying to think of a new idea.
