Earn Money from Your Articles
There are many ways in which you can generate money online. One way to do this is by writing articles for money. It's easier than you think.
Helium -
One site that allows you to write articles for money is called Helium. Helium basically gives you a share of the advertising revenue that your ads generate. This is one of the easier sites to write for because their standards are not too high, just yet. As for the article requirements, make sure they are at least a hundred words in length. And no plagiarism. This applies to any writing site, and you should expect to be banned if you do plagiarize an article.
Associated Content -
Another site, named Associated Content will pay you upfront for your articles. However, Associated Content reserves the right to reject your articles if they feel they are not up to their standards. The requirements for the articles are four hundred words, good spelling and grammar, and a good topic.
Constant Content -
Contant Content is yet another writing site. This is one of the more difficult sites to submit your articles to. Basically, if three of your articles are rejected then you will be suspended for an unspecified amount of time. As for Constant Content's standards they are just like Associated Content.
The main difference between Associated Content and Constant Content is their payment system. While Associated Content pays you upfront(unless they reject your article), Constant Content allows you to set your own price. If your article is sold then expect Constant Content to take a third of your money as a commission.
Xomba.
Xomba is yet another writing site that you can use, and it is probably the easiest one to submit your content to. You are allowed to submit blog entries, articles, and photographs. However, if you want to earn money from Xomba then you have to open a Google Adsense account. When someone clicks one of your ads on the Xomba site, you will be paid half of whatever that click generates. The other half of the money goes to Xomba as a commission.
Triond -
Triond is similar to Helium. Basically, Triond pays you when people read your articles or click on the ads that are embedded in the articles. If you are fortunate enough to receive an ad click, you will receive half of the money from that click.
Your articles are also under a nonexclusive license like they are with Helium. However, Triond will only accept articles that have not been published elsewhere. After you have published the article with Triond, you are free to publish it wherever you wish with a nonexclusive license. Personally, I've found that Triond pays about twenty to thirty percent more than Helium.
Use Your Own Site -
Of course, you can also post your articles on your own website if you like. This allows you to place Google ads and affiliate links wherever you please. And best of all, you don't have to worry about your articles being rejected because you're the reviewer.
As you can see, earning money from your articles is easier than you may realize. All you have to do is supply these companies with your quality articles, and you can make money. Don't give up your day job, but you will have a nice second income from these sites. Good luck!
Links to the Major Online Writing Agencies
- Constant Content
- Constant Content allows you to publish your articles on their site. The catch is that your articles must meet their minium requirements, or the articles will not be published. As for pay, you set your own price and Constant Content will take a third of it for their commission.
- Associated Content
- Associated Content is one of my favorite writing sites. This company pays you upfront for your articles, and they share a portion of the ad revenue with you. Associated Content reserves the right to reject your articles for upfront pay, but you can still publish them and earn royalties.
- Helium - Where Knowledge Rules
- Helium also pays you by sharing ad revenue that is generated from your articles. Unfortunately, Helium does not offer upfront pay. So you may not make as much on this site unless you really advertise your articles. If your article is published on the front page of Helium then you will probably earn a few bucks from that article.
- Xomba
- Xomba is a writing site that also shares advertising revenue with you. However, unlike the other writing sites, Xomba requires that you have a Google Adsense account. In order to make money, people who read your articles must click your Google Ads. You will then earn fifty percent from that click, and the other fifty percent will go to Xomba as a commission.
- Triond
- Triond is similar to Helium with two exceptions. The first one is that you have to publish the article first with Triond, and then you can publish the article wherever you wish(nonexclusive license). The second exception is that Triond seems to pay about twenty to thirty percent more than Helium.
- Google Knols
- Google Knols are similar to Triond in that they don't offer upfront payments. Instead, all of your money comes from Google ads. So if you don't have a Google Adsense account, then you'll need to sign up for one if you want to generate any type of revenue with Google Knols. You can write about whatever you like, and you can edit your articles whenever you want to as well. The site has potential.
