Are You an Aspiring Writer? Take the Challenge!

Do you want to write, but don't have the courage to start? Maybe you do have the courage but just don't know where to begin. Perhaps you've been writing for years - decades even - but are still afraid to pursue your dream markets. Wherever you are today in your writing life, I think you should take the 7 Step Writer's Challenge!

7 Steps to Challenge Yourself With

Motivating Yourself to Succeed

I've taken this challenge and I hope you'll join me.

I challenge all writers (as well as myself) to:
  1. Believe in your writing and yourself like never before.
  2. Query those dream markets you think you aren't good enough for (be sure to follow the guidelines).
  3. Ignore negativity that comes flying your way. Family, co-workers, even friends may become jealous of your success or even the passion you have.
  4. Find a place to make a list of your goals: short-term, long-term, and overall. You can do this in a notebook, on a piece of paper, or you could open a new file in Microsoft Word.
  5. Read: The sky is the limit! So think big. Let your imagination go bonkers! Tell yourself you deserve that big break. You're working hard after all, right? You're dedicated and determined to succeed!
  6. Encourage yourself. That's right. Pat yourself on the back. Go ahead. You deserve it! If nobody else will do it, you may as well. Motivate and praise yourself. After all, you've made it this far!
  7. Don't even consider giving up. Nope. Not ever! For any reason. No matter what. Refuse to give up! Your life is what you make it, right? If you want to be a writer, and you know with all your heart it's what you were destined to become, then write. The only person stopping you is yourself. Don't let that happen.

What's Next?

Are You Up for the Challenge?

So, are you on board? Are you going to challenge yourself to be all that you can be? To write the best manuscripts, poetry, short stories, books that you can?

Do you hereby promise to commit yourself wholeheartedly to becoming the published writer you've always dreamt of becoming-to get published or be published more than ever before 2008?

What are you waiting for? Get a move on it. Hurry!

Thank you! Yes, it's easy to hold ourselves back. We do have to believe in ourselves in order to accomplish our goals and dreams. If we believe and work hard at it, we can make it all happen!

This is a very uplifting message. It's so easy to let your own emotions get in the way of success. If you believe in yourself, you'll get far!
