Writing For Children

Writing for children can be very pleasureable and fulfilling. It can also be very difficult if approached in the wrong way.

Children can be some of the most ruthless critcs as well as the most dedicated fans, this all depends on how you approach them.

Children enjoy a good story, the same as any adult.
The same story structure applies to children as it does for adults. The only real difference is the language used and the tempo of the story.

After saying that don't write down to children and don't write tongue in cheek. As for the tempo give them continual action don't bog them down with lengthy paragraphs of description. Where adults may find it interesting children will just walk away.

Robyn Opie, author of more than 70 children's stories has produced an ebook that will guide you through the whole process and is a must if you want to enter this market. Click Here!
