Creative Writing for Money: Everyone has a book in them
Are you a writer, or would you like to be a writer, or just make a little extra money by writing articles from home?
There are many writing communities on the internet. Many of these concentrate on consumer reviews, but some (e.g. Helium) are more of a creative writing community. You can write about almost anything, from vacation diaries and reviews to financial advice, politics or write about your favourite hobbies and in exchange you will receive payment depending on the popularity and quality of the review, additional bonuses and prizes.

Helium is an internet writing community. The emphasis is on enjoying writing good quality articles, getting them published and read. You can read and write articles on a wide variety of subjects and rate other peoples' work.Joining a writing community like this is a good way to practice, get feedback on your writing and improve your style.
For reasonable earnings you will need to write a lot of articles, but they then stay there gaining royalties and you don't need to do anything. The higher the quality, the more you earn. This initially will not make a huge amount of money for each articles, but the revenue will build up and there is also a "Market Place" where you can compete to write articles for other publications for much larger amounts of money (e.g. a few hundred dollars, if you win the contract) You can also enter you writing for regular competitions.
Another similar writing community is Triond
There are many other web-sites and writing communities on the internet ranging from product review sites which pay reasonable rates for short "reviews" (which can include creative writing and even poetry) to site aimed more at getting published, like Helium so if you want to make money from writing online please also check out my related article, this researches the relative merits of the various sites that I have tried (e.g. how much they pay) and compares with some other methods of making money on line, such as surveys and publishing photographs.

- On writing is my favorite writing book so far, instead of dull dry technical information he paints a vivid portrait of life as a writer. It made the untouchable famous writer seem much more human and the struggles far more universal. Even Stephen King struggles with his words... I double recommend it!
