WysGui ~ The Web's New Site Manager

If you've ever used a CMS to build your web site but wish you could do more, WysGui is for you. It's a powerful, versatile engine built around the Advanced Web Developer. It's very customizable in all fronts. A savvy web designer should easily get the hang of themes in WysGui, for it's editable through the Admin Panel.

WysGui is also very easy to use. A savvy Windows, Mac, or Ubuntu user should easily take an understanding to WysGui. One reason is because it tries to simulate a GUI operating system type feel. The Admin Control Panel is displayed using the Icon-Map feature built-in to WysGui. The Icon-Map works by taking in page names, and spitting out a bunch of Windows-style icons. An Admin simply edits a page, uploads an image of any type, and adds the page into the Icon Map.

More creatively speaking, WysGui is a tool that works with you to create your web sites. It's the little person that flips all the switches on your hard disk while you click buttons and enter text. A CMS is a Content Management System; It's used to add, edit, and delete many, many things.

Here's a bit of things WysGui helps to manage,

- Pages: Add wysgui & mysql-tied pages, or custom pages through the manual editor. All on-site, of course.

- Content: top header content, sidebar content, middle body content, footer content.. fully HTML compatible. You can order content like a news/blog site, or however you want because of groups. You can order the content Ascending or Descending, and you can order the groups around any which way you want.

- Modules: Each module can have settings, action data, <head> tag data and content/form data. All are optional, and you're fully capable of creating a custom page and including it into your module for advanced stuff. This allows you to implement almost any third-party web item into a module.

- Site Tree: Navigate through your folders/directories via the Site Tree. It uses the 2 Icon-Maps to display in one section, all of your data-tied pages, the other, all of the files on your site. Clicking a data-tied page will navigate to that page on your site. It also works great as a lost & found for pages you don't have on the Nav bar or in the admin panel. When you click a file in the bottom section, it will open the file in the Manual Editor. There you can make modifications, and preview the page when necessary. This tool works great for advanced web developers to work fast and efficient on their code.

This is a really cool CMS. Maybe some of the Control Panel functions could be improved. Also you could add better rank management.
