Xbox 360 best repair guide

Fixing your Xbox 360 is really not a big deal. I don't know why some people are paying hundreds to get it fixed. You can find anything you want on the Internet and you came to the right place if you want to get rid of the red ring of death.

Sure it is disappointing when the gaming system you paid hundreds of dollars stops working for an obscure reason. It is even more annoying when you have to send it to Microsoft or else. Packing it, sending it, waiting... paying more dollars...

Well my friends, I have some good news for you. You can fix your Xbox 360 just like Microsoft would and so in the comfort of your home. No need to waste your precious time and money. You could do it right now. How??

The BEST and SAFEST way to fix your Xbox 360

When my Xbox 360 "died" I didn't really know what to do. It was out of warranty and second hand. Also, I didn't want to pay something like 50-70 bucks to get it fixed. So I searched the Internet and I bought an Xbox 360 repair guide for 30 bucks. And honestly, It was a good decision. This repair guide was so clear and complete that it was a pleasure to fix my Xbox 360. The guide includes high quality instructional video and a color-illustrated e-book that teaches how to fix your Xbox 360 step by step. Here's an overview of the Xbox 360 repair guide content.

STEP 1: THE DISSASSEMBLY

This video will teach you how to correctly disassemble your console case. To do this, you will need a screwdriver and a knife. This really is an easy step. Just follow carefully the instructions of the guide if you're not sure of yourself.

STEP 2: REMOVE THE MOTHERBOARD AND DVD DRIVE

This one is an easy step. Just remove the screws holding the motherboard and gently lift it up, then unplugg all the cables attached to the motherboard.

STEP 3: X-CLAMPS REMOVAL

This may be the hardest part of the process. For some Xbox 360 the X-Clamps comes out naturally and for some others, you will have to work on it a little bit. The best advice I could give you is: DO NOT USE STRENGHT!! lol

STEP 4: REMOVE THE OLD COMPOUND

Now it is time to wipe out the old thermal paste. To achieve this, I used some nail polish remover and a cotton stalk. When the old thermal paste is totally removed, you will have to apply a new thermal paste. Here is a little tip: buy a thermal paste specially designed for Xbox 360 because every compound is designed to work at different temperatures.

STEP 5: APPLYING A FRESH NEW COMPOUND

Allright, in this step make sure you don't apply too much compound. Just apply a few millimeters layers and let it rest for approximatively 15 minutes. For more detailed infos please refer to the guide.

STEP 6: TEST YOUR PERMANENT FIX

You're almost done!! Just put everything back together and you will be back to gaming. But before you do it, make sure everything is in place. And now it is time to play your favourite game again!!
