XBox Broken - Here are Some DIY XBox 360 Fixes

So you sit down in front of your television after a long hard day at work. You've been looking forward to getting home and turning on that XBox 360 and just relaxing for awhile by blowing some things up in Call for Duty. Unfortunately, when you turn on your XBox you see the dreaded Red Ring of Death and your XBox won't work. You need a quick XBox 360 fix so you can get back to playing. But what options to you have to get your XBox repaired and rid of the Ring of Death?

• You Can Call Microsoft and Send it in for Repair. This might be a great option especially if your system is still under warranty. If not, it is going to cost you $150 to $200 to have them fix it for you. Not to mention you will be without it for a week or two.


• Find a Local Shop to Repair it. Another good option but 1) You will have to find a reliable shop and 2) this can be costly.


• You Can Repair it Yourself. There are many DIY guides for finding an XBox 360 fix and repairing it yourself out there, some good, some not so good. Some bring it down to the layman's level so virtually anyone can complete the repair. You can generally complete the repairs in less than an hour.

The one drawback to doing the repair yourself is if your system is still under warranty your warranty will become void if you attempt self repair. If you aren't still under warranty it is not an issue. There are many suggestions on the web, some of which can actually damage your XBox.
