So how do we stop this? It's simple. The guide shows that the chips are covered in a thermal paste that was originally designed to protect them from heat. This paste however was not designed for the extreme temperature that was not anticipated by the manufacturer. This leaves these chips directly vulnerable to overheating. The solution is to remove this old paste and apply a specific solution that the guide shows you that WILL properly protect the GPU and CPU from overheating. But there's one more problem.

The GPU and CPU are supposed to be protected by the heat sinks, which were designed to keep these two computer chips cool. The problem here is that when the console overheats the motherboard eventually starts to bend. Over time this slowly throws the heat sinks out of balance and eventually leave the GPU and CPU directly exposed to heat.
