What is the red ring of fire ?
In the rush to release the Xbox 360 before its rivals, Microsoft gave us the much awaited xbox 360 complete with a few flaws. Ever get the feeling you are being used as a guinea pig ? During game play you may see your xbox 360 completely freeze up and see three flashing red lights appear (known as the "Red Ring of Death") around the power button, instead of the four green lights indicating normal operation. What is the cause of the xbox red ring of fire fault ?
The main cause of this fault is basicly your console is over heating and some of the components are locking up. Some reports say poor quality components and some say poorly designed printed circuit boards. If the console does heat up and is not getting the right air circulating some of the solder joints will dry up and this affects conductivity.
