- Don't know how I've never come across this lens before, Julie! Here in the UK, we refer to eggnog simply by its most common brand name - Advocaat - and it is not particularly associated with any time of the year. It is usually drunk with added lemonade. I must make some time to try out some of your recipes. Great lens!

- Hi there to you! Another fab lens,I think egg nog is more of a Scottish tradition I believe in the Uk, (feel free to correct me though!) Unfortunately, Im not so keen on "horchata" a spanish sort of yoghurty drink and so I don;t think I would be too good with egg nog! Happy New Year to you Julie "feliz nuevos anos" Alethea

- I absolutely love eggnog, but have never made it myself. If something calls for whisking egg whites, I won't do it. I'm just terrible at it, and I don't know why. I can whisk forever, and all I get is this weird bubbly foamy stuff. Oh well, at least I make a mean coconut cream pie!

- My son used to call it "nogegg." Close enough! We just go for the store-bought version and love eggnog ice cream from our local dairy store, but the homemade version sounds incredibly delicious! I didn't know there was so much to know about eggnog. Awesome lens! SquidAngel blessings to you, my dear!

- In Vermont Eggnog is only eggs and milk with a little sprinkling of nutmeg. Must be the puritan traditions.I was quite surprised when living in Costa Rica that Eggnog (Rumpope) was sweetened and included rum and was available all year round including in grade school cafeterias.

- I have never tried eggnog. I do remember trying advocaat once a very long time ago. Never again!

- Fansatic lens on Egg Nog! I love Egg Nog during the holidays, I wish it was on the shelf all year through. I've made homemade before, but your ideas look really gret, I will have to try some this year. I just love the moose egg nog glasses. Congrats on a great lens my dear!

- I would weigh 500 pounds if I drank eggnog year round. It's a December indulgence only... but I sure do love that time of year!

- My mom used to make eggnog from scratch. I love it. I wish it were available year round.
But if it were I would be fat.
