ABBA was also the first group from mainland Europe to enjoy consistent success in the pop charts of English-speaking countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, the Republic of Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Lately, the music of ABBA has been re-arranged into the successful musical Mamma Mia! which has toured around the globe spawning a movie version that was released in July 2008.
