Anyone who has experienced constipation knows how painful it can be; wouldn't you imagine it is just as painful for a constipated dog? I have to carefully watch what my 10 year old 'Zima' eats, as older dogs have the tendacy to become constipated. A safe medicine alternative may be necessary for older dogs with chronic constipation.
