Conferences remain valuable educational formats for tens of millions each year. Combined, trade shows and conferences are a $100+ billion industry. So why do so many exhibitors and attendees despise attending shows and conferences? We believe it's because many organizers are dependent (read: addicted)&amp;amp;nbsp;to &amp;amp;quot;tried and true&amp;amp;quot; (read: boring, ineffectual) event formats and marketing. The good news is that this addiction is&amp;amp;nbsp;not an incurable disease.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;It can be overcome. This lens is our attempt at intervention.</description>
