Microsoft has a free regclean called RegClean 4.1a Build 7364.1 which can be downloaded free at download.com however, I have found that it doesn't do a very good job cleaning up your entire registry problems. However, there is a product on the market that also has the same name RegClean, but don't get the two mixed up. Regclean does a complete clean up of you system daily if needed. Why daily you ask? Simply because everytime you get rid of a Desktop item, remove files, copy files from one directory to another etc it can de-optimize your system progressively make it slower and slower as time goes on.
