Squidoo: squidoo css - my favorite code

I've gathered my favorite Squidoo-code for later reference. I'm tired of trying to find that specific lens I used a css effect on and then having to go to edit-mode, copy paste, and then go back to the lens I was working on. This lens will help me be a better lensmaster and perhaps it will help some other squids as well.

Yellow and Orange: to really make something stand out!

yellow and orange - make it stand out!

This is a variation on stuff I've seen on various lenses recently. I like that what you put in here stands out, but doesn't strain the eyes too much.

floating pictures to the right - cool in your guestbook etc.

This is a trick I've been starting to use recently. It works very well in the guestbook or the table of contents MODULE (not the automatic one in the intro module).

So without further ado: here's how to float images to the right and give them some space

Having a textbox that stands out

Floating text to the right, and giving it color is the newest addition to my CSS tutorial page. I think it looks better than having a sticky note module - though that's roughly the idea behind it.

I've seen several pages use this - so if you wanted to find out how - here it is.

on HOW TO do CSS in squidoo

It turns out my explanation on how to do css in squidoo wasn't clear enough for some people. I tried explaining things a bit more clearly at the top of the lens. If that isn't doing it yet, I have only one more piece of advice: JUST TRY. Just copy paste the code into one of your modules, save, publish and see what happens. Squidoo will close tags for you anyhow, so there's no risk of the style going beyond the module you were working on.

strike that: you can use strikethrough, sort of

I sent that squidcast a bit too quickly: You can use strikethrough on squidoo lenses, through using CSS (as usual)

font-size in pixels: possible to use them

I was under the impression that squidoo disables font-size definitions in pixels. But it doesn't. It does however disable strikethrough, in all the ways I tried implementing that.
