I can't tell you really how much time and money I've wasted because I was just too stubborn to buy a woodworking guide. Now that I found a guide that I enjoy and can work with, I have been a building maniac! My goal this summer is to finally get my deck done (it's been half-done for a year now) and maybe a pergola by our pool. We'll see! My point is that if you want to start building things, do yourself a favor and spare the agony and get a woodworking download. I promise you it will make your life SO MUCH EASIER! I made a quick video (sorry, I'm not very good at that stuff!) showing you the guide that I've been using for about 4 months now. The video is short, but I hope that I got my point across.
