Yurts is defined at a circular tent of felt or skins on a collapsible framework, used by nomads in Mongolia, Siberia, and Turkey. Over the years, Yurts popularity has spread allover the world, it quite popular in UK, commonly used as an alternative to traditional tents in outdoor events such as large music festivals, town festivals and parties. It is also used for holiday accommodation at Yurts and Tipis parks. Some Yoga instructors prefer Yurts as the venue for their exercise over traditional indoor spaces. I will like to thank Fabian and Jeremy Daffern of Yurts UK for the pictures of Yurts used on this page. There are several Yurts and Tipis related sites online, this one is new but its worth a visit, its called Yurts and Tipis its certainly worth visiting. I also strongly recommend Yurts and Tipis, it contains loads of information on Tipis and Yurt. I particularly found the Yurts Making and building section particularly useful.
