            <title>Yesterday's Celebrities</title>
            <link>http://www.squidoo.com/yesterdayscelebrities</link>
<description>Heroes have gone out of style. At some point every person who was admired and turned into a celebrity disappointed us and let us down. Cynicism took over and we abandoned the idea of looking up to people for their brave or philanthropic deeds, for their brilliance, or wisdom. Today the only heroes we care about are cartoon characters who blow up their enemies to save the world. Hmmm. Sounds a little like real life, no?

Perhaps, it's time to stop judging people for being fallible human beings just like us. Maybe we're finally mature enough to see their flaws and mistakes and still be able to admire the noble characteristics. This squidoo will be a reminder of heroes past. As it lengthens, I'll add lesser know people who deserve to be remembered and admired.</description>
