A paper person.  A computer person.  I am NOT, and never have been, a nursing or a doctor person.   From the day I woke up from a snooze in anatomy class to discover the person next to me dissecting a frog, I knew that this type of thing was not for me.  Yet, this incredibly ill man, who I loved with my whole heart, was coming home alone with me, and  no one else to help care for him.  As I was agonizing over what to do, a novena of the late Mother Theresa's came to me in the mail.  I prayed the novena and agonized.  Exactly as promised, one day a change came over me.  Miraculously I was able to care for this wonderful human being AS HE NEEDED TO BE.  He died well, he died beautifully, he died loved, he died cared for, he died peacefully.  Mother came to our rescue. I later attended her  beatification ceremony at St. Peter's Basilica.   I am building this page in gratitude for all Mother did.  I recommend that you, too, when you need her, ask for her help. The massacre has sent shockwaves throughout America, and even through the world, and the generous and heartfelt support for the Amish  victims, their families, and the  Amish community at large is a hopeful sign of how Americans care for one another.  Another question that has been raised is, "Where is God in all of this?"   When I was at university, this question was raised in theology class.  The professor answered, "God is where the suffering is."   God is with the  Amish people.   This lense is dedicated  to assembling all the information relevant to this horrifying event, for the purposes of making it available to anyone who needs it.  I have been very blessed to know many in the Amish community, to work with them, and to share some part of their lives.  They are simply the finest group of people that I have ever known. Not only most of the streets, but many of the homes, are cobblestone, and all are nestled against the mountains or tightly juxtaposed in the  few flat areas.  Tall French  windows, nouveaux wrought iron, baguettes, cheese and fresh flowers. You can find stone Roman aquaducts that make their way through the  mountains, still working, still bringing the freshest water anywhere to their destination cities.  The people use utensils in their kitchen which they dearly love, Berard olivewood and La Guiole (The Bee) Cutlery.  The Bee is the main symbol of France's greatest King, Louis XIV, the Sun King.  These cutlery pieces, each with the  King's Bee, have a long and cherished history in France.
