As an amateur astronomer I wanted to make a piece of jewelry to celebrate so I made a cuttlefish necklace. I sculpted it in black then brushed mica powders over the uncured clay to give it the colors of a nebula. Then I pressed some rhinestones into the clay to be big stars. After it was cured I added white glitter to the clear varnish I coat all my polymer clay to look like smaller stars. It sold, then another, soon being one of my most popular items.
