Squidoo : Lenses by YourMother

Drawing from the collective experiences of several contributors to this lens, it's impossible to put any one bio here for your edification. We're multi-faceted, multi-tasking individuals who work well together. Our primary goal is to raise funds for research into AIDS prevention, and several other debilitating diseases afflicting our world today. We are making a difference.

Typos Misspellings

There may be many other places on the web where one can report flagrant misspellings, or maybe there aren't. This lens is more than just a Spelling Police Department. Pick up tips for yourself, or to pass on to your kids, on how to remember the correct spelling of commonly misspelled and mistyped words in the English language. Find the best, most authoritative resources for learning English here. This lens serves as a satellite repository for my main website: SpellRIGHTNOW.com. Keep in mind that we're not talking about English English. Those people in the UK have their own funny way of colouring things. Also, we're not talking Ebonics either. Now I know this is going to raise a few eyebrows in academic circles; and I'm no expert on American English, but this lens is merely pointing out where people go wrong when writing and speaking American English, and offering strategies for remembering the correct way. You may even find me guilty of infractions now and again; and I invite you to point them out to me. Literacy levels have been running on fumes in many social arenas, and it's time to stop off at the pumps and fill up before we find ourselves stranded on the side of the information highway.

YourMotherShouldKnow

Working from home and working at home. Most of us here are doing just that. We've come together to increase the page ranking of our own websites while increasing the general awareness of what it takes to make a living online and continue to create the home atmosphere our families expect. We multi-task to make ends meet, and we've united for a mutual cause. Slated for our eventual charity are several AIDS and cancer research agencies. But we first have to feed our families and pay the bills. Many of us are single moms; and all of us have decided not to share our true identities but rather, to be represented under one glorious icon: that of the ever-glamorous Rosalind Russell. Why? Because we value our privacy, and because Rosalind represents a demureness we don't see much anymore in these turbulent times.
