Fine Art Greeting Cards

Sophie is my dog. She's an Italian Greyhound, but mostly she sleeps. Sometimes she dreams up good ideas. One day while in my studio sleeping and keeping me company she dreamed up the grand idea of using prints of my paintings for greeting cards.

Therefore, I set forth in search of a place to have my cards printed that would be dependable and produce quality cards. I searched high and low while Sophie slept, and at last found the perfect place. Greeting Card Universe.

Of course, it was Sophie's idea so visit us at:

The Morning After Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Let me first say that I have always admired and respected any person that has lived with and overcome any physical handicap, but never more so than this last week.

Carpal tunnel surgery has left me all but helpless for the next two weeks. Now I'm not looking for sympathy (well, maybe just a little), but I think they should make a person go into training and practice one-handed skills first. Like physical therapy, but prior to the "event". Not only am I typing with one finger, I"m having trouble spelling. How can that be?

Art, techniques, tools and fun ideas.

Is it ability? State of mind? Who you hang out with? Or where? How you talk or how you dress? Where you market, or how you market your work?

Think about it. How long had you been creating your art before you felt comfortable with calling yourself an "artist"? And I mean really comfortable.

One thing I can tell you it takes is desire. A compelling desire to look someone in the eye letting them know that you have worked hard to learn these skills and nothing can take that away.

Another thing is pride. Knowing that you were able to accomplish something that at one time was beyond your ability.

Lets not forget hunger. The yearning to succeed at something that is all yours, and only yours. That signature will be yours alone.

AND ONE LENS TO BIND THEM ALL....

Thank you for visiting my lensography. I'm an Oklahoma artist, but I also love to read, like techie stuff and would love to be a geek, but not sure if I'm smart enough. I leave that part to my husband.

If I live to be a thousand I doubt I could ever create a lens for all the things that sometimes pop in to my head. Some I have in mind could be a legacy to my children and some might bore them to tears. They're adults-they can handle it.

How Does My Garden Grow

Nothing in my opinion is tastier than a fresh home grown fruit or vegetable. This lens will feature all those yummy things you can grow, how to grow them and things to help you grow them.

Maybe a few recipes thrown in to the mix also. By the way, did you know that tomatoes are healthier for you if they are baked? Take some grape or cherry tomatoes, drizzle with olive oil and bake at 425-450 degrees for 15 minutes. Add Basil or Rosemary if you desire. They're great in pasta or on sandwiches.
