No infection is evident, yet the bodies fluids contain cells made to fight infection. Asymptomatic Inflammatory Prostatitis - This form is usually not detected until a doctor is looking for causes for infertility. The patient has no symptoms, yet there are infection fighting cells in the semen. 2) Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) With BPH the prostate gland grows in an area that does not have the space to allow for the expansion. This growth causes pressure on the urethra. 3) Prostate Cancer This form of cancer is slow growing, and is not life threatening in and of itself. However, it can spread to other parts of the body and cause death that way.
