Yachts really sound so expensive for us. Most of us really thinks that yachting is just for the rich people... But what yachts and yachting really is?
In modern use, the term yacht applies to two rather different classes of sea vessels: sailing yachts and power yachts. Traditionally, yachts were differentiated from working ships mainly by purpose—yachts were swift and comfortable conveyances of the wealthy and powerful. It was not until the ascendancy of the steamboat and other types of powerboat that sailing vessels came to be seen as luxury items. Modern use of the term applies to nearly all sailing vessels, other than sailing dinghies, that are used for yacht racing or for pleasure cruising which we known as yachting.
What is a Yacht?
A yacht is a huge boat that will hold many, many people. Some people refer to a yacht as a party boat, because it is wonderful for hosting parties on. This large boat can also be used for many other things. It can be run by a motor, or a sail. Depending which kind you choose to buy. If you are considering buying a yacht for yourself, you should go out on one first, to make sure that is an investment that you would enjoy.Owning a yacht and yachting has been known as part of the good life for some time now. You only own a yacht if you are loaded. At least that is what many people think in the US. However, you should know that you do not have to be loaded to go yachting. Renting a yacht is something that you can look into, to make sure a yacht is what you want. Kind of a try before you buy thing.
Where are yachts used? Yachts are only taken out into the ocean because of their size. They are not used in lakes, or rivers in most cases. If you were to ever see a yacht in a river, it is a smaller one, and not a huge one as we know most yachts to be.
Have you ever been invited to a party being held on a yacht? If so, you should attend, and have the time of your life. They are so much fun to throw parties on, and just have a great time and relax with friends. Passing up a chance to party on a yacht might be something that you later regret.
As you can see, a yacht is a super large boat. It can hold many people. They are mostly taken out in the ocean, and they are great for parties. Renting a yacht can give you an idea of what it is like to own one, and not a bad idea for someone that is interested in buying one themselves.

A Luxury Boating at its Best
Some yachts are so large and so luxurious that you can barely tell them apart from cruise liners. There really is no "average price" when it comes to yachts; their sizes, designs, and amenities vary so widely that their price ranges are vast. A top-of-the-line yacht can sell for as high as $60 million or more, and the least expensive yachts will still run in the hundreds of thousands. The bigger and more expensive yachts are often owned by companies for throwing parties, entertaining clients, or rewarding successful executives with luxury trips.
What exactly is it about a yacht, other than its size, that so enraptures people? For one thing, yachts are like floating mansions, or at the very least, very nice floating homes. For example, an upper-end yacht can have a living room, family room, several bedrooms, a den, office, library, bar, party room, and even a theater room. When riding on one of these, only the view from the windows, going out on deck, or the occasional rocking would betray the fact that you were actually on a boat.
Though it is true that most people, even those who are fairly successful, cannot afford a yacht, that doesn't mean that that they can never have a chance to ride on one or maybe even pilot one. Fortunately, for those who are not blessed with enough disposable income to purchase their own yachts, these luxury cruisers can be rented by the hour, by the day, by the week, or for even longer. Many people will rent a yacht for cruising in the ocean or on a lake for a few days and consider it a complete vacation. If you rent the right kind of yacht, there may never be a reason to disembark from it while you're using it, even if you'll be on it for several days. Though experienced boaters can often pilot their own medium-sized or smaller rented yachts, when renting one of the larger models it is usually best, and often required, to have an experienced boat captain pilot it for you.
