All About Yaks
Yaks are a long-haired bovine animal which is the main type of livestock found in the Himalayan mountains, Mongolia and Tibet. They tend to look like a bull's head was stuck onto a buffalo.They are are source of both milk and meat as well as a means of hauling goods and supplies over the mountains. The milk can be used as is, or made into cheeses and butter. Yak hair can be cleaned and spun into fiber, allowing for a sort of woolen cloth to be woven from the fibers.
