Great System *****

Great price for good sounding home theater system. This system is great for my needs. I live in an apartment and don't need anything too huge. The sound is great and it auto switches to the right type of surround sound. I programmed it to my tv easily enough.
The receiver does not accept HDMI audio. You need to run a separate optical audio or coaxial audio cable from the device to the receiver (The HDMI audio will pass-through the receiver to the TV though). That info was stated in the spec sheet for it. However it doesn't mention that if you have both HDMI and component video run to the receiver you also need both HDMI and component video run to the TV from the receiver. The HDMI will not transfer the component video and vice versa. All-in-all a good buy.

Best Entry Level HTIB ****

The Sound, good price, component-size AV receiver. There is no audio thru HDMI "I have this set up in my small media room and it sounds great. I think this is the best Home Theater system at this price. I have my xbox 360, dvr, and blu ray hooked up to the reciever via optical cables and they sound great. I knew this had no audio thru HDMI before I purchased this unit, of course I would have liked to have that feature, but after doing research, you would have to spend over 500 for the reciever alone, just to have that feature. Remember you can always upgrade these speakers to make it sound even better, you cant do that with most name brand HTIB

Very Nice System *****

Sound Quality, very good price, best bang for you buck for starters. "I purchased this product 2 days ago and I love it. Sounds great with my PS3 and my comcast cable. Excellent sound. I live in an apartment so this is perfect. Having a powered sub is a plus. Just remember to purchase your optical cables if you don't have them and speaker stands or mounts. I love this unit. Keep in mind, its always best to purchase a Home Theatre in a box if it has its own receiver.
