Yes! Mama Mary!!! Lead us to Jesus

My dearest Everyone,

In the midst of my seemingly never-ending work, often reading and writing until the wee hours of the night or the first hours of dawn... in the hectic schedule of meetings and speaking engagements...in the noisy company of strangers and the anonymous mass of people.... in home where a hundred blushing roses, daisies, lilies ans carnations surround me constantly with someone's tender thoughts...yes, even, in the warmth of a such a gentle embrace given with so much love from a special person I now share these joyous days with...there is loneliness... a need for something more, a need for true peace of mind and heart... a searching for threshold where only God can come in and take over my life and breathe His goodness to calm my restless soul.

We cannot find God with our minds, for it is the labyrinth with many avenues of deception. We must turn to Jesus with our hearts...fell Him, Love Him, obey Him, be faithful to Him...this is what our spirit searches for.

I said this many times before. Whatever seems lacking in our lives, our relationships, in our work...it will only be filled up by our loving God more.

That is the ONLY way we can be relieved of loneliness- the loneliness that comes especially at the busiest and most intense moments of our day. I don't know if any of you have ever gone through this experience, but I am sharing it with you, nonetheless, because over the past days, I have been at a plateau where the pressure of circumstances and events outside my control has taken hold of my inability to act this way or that. Checkmated, so to speak, and I don't have any pieces left to risk pushing further in order to win the game.

Turn to God. He, has never left my side. He, who knows what is exactly good for me. He, who loves absolutely and with no conditions. He, who made me in his image. Turn to God, our best friend, our constant companion, our strength, our guide, our Savior.

And through the intercession of Mama Mary, pray for the wisdom to see the Divine Presence of our Lord and Master, in everything that we do, we are, and we believe in.

Be with me in this voyage. Be with me in adoration. Be with me in the offering of our daily labor, our intimate love, our talents, our sorrows, our pleasures and all that we hold sacred, precious and worthy. For the salvation of our souls and the forgiveness of our sins

The suffering of a people spares no one who has a heart and hope is the touch of healing.

The horrendous devastation that typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) has caused in the Metropolitan Manila area and the adjacent provinces have changed the condition of many lives. The waters had nowhere to go because the rivers, the lake, the floodways are clogged with mud and debris. All the contents of homes were reduced to smithereens by the fury of the currents. And while we try to do our best to gather from the murky residue whatever else may be salvaged, the damage is beyond retrieval.

Project RELIEF RE:LIFE is a long term holistic approach addressing the families whose sorrows are more severe, than the loss of property, but also the loss of a loved one: a child, a mother, a father, a sibling or, in some excruciating instances, the loss of children, parents, a whole family, all mercilessly drowned by the rampage of the currents and the waters that swelled in a matter of minutes to the rooftops. The horrifying scene was beyond words: outstretched hands above the fury of the floods, desperately flailing for help a family on a raft that violently smashed the underbelly of a bridge instantly perished in full view of those who desperately attempted rescue%u2026the sight of a father who frantically foraged the hillside hoping that the lifeless, muddied body of the young boy he already held in his arms was not his son, a woman found seated and dead in her living room when the waters subsided, her eyes still staring in shock. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Our prayer is an acknowledgment that there is a Higher Power. No matter what religion or creed we adhere to, a whisper of prayer never escapes our lips in times of distress, loneliness or when we are in trouble.

When we pray, we acknowledge the might and power of God as we express the joy and love we feel for Him. When we receive His good graces, we offer thanksgiving through our prayers. When we surrender ourselves in petition, we show our faith to the Will of God. Our petition is our request for the grace of God.

"I say to you, all the things whatever you ask for in prayer, believing, you shall receive" (Matthew 21:22)

"Therefore I say unto you, what things you so ever desire when you pray, believe that you will receive them and you shall have them" (Mark 11:24)

The impact of our collective impetuous and unrighteous actions towards our life, our government and our country has brought us where we are today. When we look around, we are besieged by illnesses, corruption, poverty and hunger. Most of the time, we feel hopeless and helpless in changing the world around us. It will only make it more real if we believe we are useless to affect a change.

Unite with us now in reaffirming that the power of united prayer knows no boundaries. HOPE springs from our prayers. Whatever we claim and believe to be so in the name of God shall be ours.

Join us in saying this prayer daily up to our "election day", preferably at 12:00 noon as we all unite in the Prayer Power for CHANGE. Let us begin by planting the seed of hope, PRAY. Pray and see that seed grow.

OUR YES TO MAMA MARY IS OUR YES TO GOD. INDEED A SOLEMN ONE.

Amen, is of course, a more solemn form of saying "yes". It literally means, "so be it". We often find Jesus opening his solemn statements with, "Amen, Amen, I say to you". In the Old Testament, every covenant, every oath is always accompanied by an "amen" to indicate truthfulness, authenticity and honesty in the pronouncements made. But when we say "yes" to Mama Mary, we just can't really help having thoughts whether that "yes" has the strength of the biblical "amen". Or in the first place, could we really make such a solemn covenant of commitment to the devotion, to the cause or even for instance, to the daily recitation of the Rosary? Are we a "Jesus" who would prefix any statement of ours about anything that deals with the Marian devotion with such a solemn word? How far and deep can we say the real "yes" to Mama Mary?

Or is it "yes" to Mama Mary, which is of essence here? Or could it be more of Mary's "yes" to God's initial crack at the final phase of the eternal plan of salvation during the Annunciation, rather than our own unconvincing positive remark - oh yes? Let us see what Mary's "yes" is all about. Mary's yes was a "fiat", "fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum", in Latin and it literally means, "be it done to me according to your Word". So, "fiat" means, "be it" or "so be it". Isn't that the same as "amen" - the solemn word of divine commitment?

Now, we can see the character of the Fiat and the Amen. Both are solemn pronouncements or statements made by God and man in a partnership of commitment to serve and save. God had said 'Amen' to mankind by sending Jesus in our midst as Saviour. The Book of Revelation is right when it called Jesus as the "Amen of God" (Rev. 3:14). God made a solemn commitment to mankind. But it was always in partnership with an equally solemn commitment from man himself. And that's Mary's role.

Mary's "amen" was her "fiat!

But Mary wasn't alone here, by herself, when she responded to the Lord's call. Just as the angel Gabriel's piece of information wasn't an exclusive whisper at a short distance to Mary's ear, so too is Mary's "fiat". She was representing all humanity, which includes you and me! Oh yes, Mary is saying, "yes" for us.

We believe, therefore, that our "yes to Mama Mary" is both an Amen and a Fiat - solemn and divine commitment to serve and save. For Jesus, Mary and ourselves, "Amen", "fiat" - are all the same. Our yes to Mary is our yes to God. Indeed a solemn one.
