Have you heard of the
Yicrosoft Directory contest yet? If you haven't then you will. The folks over at SEO Noobs have put together a pretty cool SEO Contest for SEO "Noobs."

I'm pleased to announce the official start of the "2008 King Noob SEO" Contest! A week or so ago I announced this contest and a call for sponsors, and many new and old friends were kind enough to donate some fabulous prizes, as well as advice! I'm so pumped that it's finally here, and ready for someone to start tearing up the rankings. Just 30 days from now, March 4th, whichever contestant ranks highest for the secret keyphrase will win a host of awesome prizes!

Before I reveal, I would like to remind everyone of the rules, in case you're too lazy to read the official contest post:

Final RULES:

1. The site or blog you start must be BRAND NEW domain, no cached version, right out of the box. You may NOT use a subdomain or subfolder. All entries will be checked by a few of us prior to the contest start. You may also choose to use a free blogging service like Blogger, Wordpress, or whatever else%u2026just make sure it's new and has absolutely no backlinks.

2. No cloaking, hidden text, or any other blackhat tactics. This is a genuine test of your SEO skills, and we surely don't want any cheaters. I have a very close friend who often wears a blackhat to check up on any suspicious activities!

3. Mama didn't raise a fool, so in order to become and remain eligible, your new site/blog must have and maintain a link back to this contest post or the SEONoobs.Com homepage using the anchor text "SEO Help
".

4. After you start your site, you must contact me with your official entry domain name so I can start tracking it and qualify you as eligible.

Remember, we will determine the highest ranking entry site by placing quotes around the phrase for an exact match, and the secret phrase has been doubled checked for no current listings.
