Bring Your Songs Of Joy
Yo-Yo Ma is so inspiring especially right now when news of our economy isn't exactly a song of joy.
You know how sometimes, when you least expect it, hope, joy, and peace just startles you. Like, at a party you are not expecting and you hear "Surprise!"
Well, that's really the purpose of this lens. It's a surprise party.
Yo-Yo Ma recently threw a party inviting a bunch of musicians to come, bringing songs of joy. I saw it on Good Morning America.
The video clip I watched surprised me with joy. I love Mr. Ma's story and his music. He's not the typical classical musician although his genius as a concert celloist is stunning.
One of the things I like about Yo-Yo Ma is that he often hangs out with baby boomer musicians. I love to see that. Like today, the clip I saw on Good Morning America was Yo-Yo Ma and James Taylor.
If you are a baby boomer or not, you will love this. They perform one of my favorite songs of joy written by the Beatles in this clip.
After you watch it, even with this build up of mine, you are still going to be "surprised by joy." Then I want you to do something...
I'm asking you to "Bring Your Songs Of Joy" to this little Squidoo lens party! See the section below called "Bring It On!" Well, please do.
Without a doubt, NO doubt in my mind at all, each of us have many songs of joy to share, so be my guest! Share here. I'll be first.
Here is Yo-yo Ma and James Taylor in "Here Comes the Sun."
This clip from GMA has a few seconds of commercial (sorry) so I hope you've had b'fast.
But just get through the commercial and then enJOY

One Ingredient In The Recipe For Joy Is Peace
All I Can Find Are Rave Reviews!
- Amazon.com: Robert Busko's review of Songs of Joy & Peace Deluxe Version
- When I bought Yo-Yo-Ma & Friends: Songs of Joy & Peace, I missed entirely the holiday connection that much of the music has. It wasn't until I actually listened to the CD and heard "Joy to the World" featuring Dave Brubeck on track three that I looked at the cover again and saw a very eclectic but thematically strong collection of holiday music.
Song Of Hope
Suggested from above comment - so good I added it here! Thx Robbie Seay Fan!
Beautiful - en-JOY!
