Cartoons about Michigan's Upper Peninsula are emblazoned on caps, t-shirts, skateboards, shoes, key chains etc. Cartoonist Dan Rosandich specializes in humor about the upper peninsula of Michigan and put his favorite panels onto a variety of gift items including coffee mugs, stickers and greeting cards. Many of Dan's cartoons have been previously published in national magazines like Better Homes & Gardens, Good Housekeeping, Reader's Digest and American Legion. Look for many of Dan's cartoons in the popular Chicken Soup For The Soul series of books including Pet Lover's Soul, The Mother's Soul and The Christian Soul.

Dan's Cartoons have been published in several upper Michigan newspapers

Dan Rosandich created a cartoon back in the mid 1970's and dedicated the feature to people in Michigan's U.P. The feature didn't really have a title until the editor of Houghton's Daily Mining Gazette asked Dan to come up with a good name. Dan concieved "Yooper Bloopers" . The cartoon was featured along with a short article mentioning the terminolgy "Yooper" and that term started being mentioned in radio broadcasts and on a regional T.V. newscast and soon caught on very fast as an identifiable descriptive terminolgy used for those who live in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. When in fact, those who lived in the U.P. (upper peninsula) were previously referred to as "U.P.'ers" and Yoopers just seemed better!
Many of Dan's Yooper Bloopers were featured in a regional comic book entitled "Yooperland 1ST Edition" and the concept embedded itself within the fabric of "Yooper" society. Soon to follow were regional Yooper clendars, web sites, books, t-shirts and much more.
