Living on a side of a mountain in Colorado
Have you ever been to Colorado up in the Rockies. It takes your breath away. You yearn to stay. I did. Living in a cabin, just me and nature.Sounds romantic at first. It is a simple life that brings inspiration at every turn.
Coming here I am writing profusely about mother earth and what she has given us. And what we need to do to give back. I am really writing to the children. They are the hope we believe in.
I want to feel the sunshine
I want to feel the sunshine on my hands and feetI want to feel the laughter on my face and cheeks
I want to feel the warmth surging through my veins
I want to feel the joy in the meadow again.
When the snow falls.
When the snow fallsmy little tree
you will sleep and rest
don't be sad
in the spring you will wake up
and be refreshed and need to stretch
When the snow falls
sleep well
sleep well
In the spring you will wake up
I will wait
Snow Blankets
Who put these great big snow blankets on the ground? They are covering me up! And everything all around.
Boughs and shrubs are snuggled in tight.
Rocks peak out, then out of sight.
Cradled in natures arm.
It's beautiful.
It's beautiful,
after the storm.
Fluffy blankets go on and on.
Who did this? I ask you. Speak out.
I don't want to be covered up right now.
Take them off I tell you, ...I don't know how.
I hear the storm.
I hear the storm before it comes.I hear the billowing and rafters shake.
I hear the shutters of anger warn.
I hear the creeks of my home forlorn.
I hear the wrath of wintering clangs
I hear the fury of lightening barks
I hear the roar of violence sweep
I hear the cries of forgotten sheep
I hear the silence with pounding gone.
I hear the warmth of crackling fire.
I hear my heart in pleasant beat.
I here my soul fall asleep.
Behold Significance
Before I walk the forest greensI take a moment to reflect
to put my mind in translucent form
so today I behold significance.
It takes a moment to reflect.
It takes a moment to set ones view.
It takes a moment to set a course.
but without it we see nothing new.
It's Cold
It's cold says the breeze. It's cold says the trees.
It's cold says the rocks.
It's cold says my sneeze.
I FOUND A SEEDLING
I found a seedling in a brook. Struggling, arching to survive. As I strolled I could not pass it by.Was I sent here to make a difference? A difference I will make. Taking the seeding up the bank, safe from the spring run off.
One day I will come back and see a tree. Did I make a difference today. We will have to wait and see. If you asked me, I would say yes. I believe.
UP ON THE BANK

Grow little tree.
Grow strong and long.
Don't be discouraged when the wind blows, the hail comes down, or when the snow falls.
It will only make you stronger.
Grow little tree, the world is watching.
I Walked and I Saw
I walked thru meadows, creeks, and woods one day with the sun shining on pure nature with a man that said he could see. Yet he was blind.
Today I walked with a blind man thru the same meadows, creeks and woods that was able to see.
Today I walked with a blind man thru the same meadows, creeks and woods that was able to see.

neon green, new color this spring
I noticed today a green I have not seen before. It was a spring green of new growth, nestled in tight, so you might not even see. But I did see. What a beautiful color. What new colors have you seen today?
