Yorkies Make Cute Pictures

Maybe I'm a little prejudiced since I am a Yorkie, but I think we make pretty pictures. My owner is helping me share some that we love and we hope you will enjoy looking at them, just for fun.

Through the headings with the pictures, you'll learn a little more about me.

Some are available for sale, you can click on the pictures for more details, but mostly, have fun looking through our little Yorkie art gallery.

Yorkie Baby Picture and Glamour Shot

I will never look as pretty as the picture below, what beautiful flowing hair in this photographic image. The only way I figured I could top it was to show you a picture of me when I was a new-born yorkie, only a couple hours old, and small enough to fit comfortably in a small hot dog roll. I was born right next door so had lots of "baby" pictures taken. The hand is that of a nice man that doesn't live far away that breeds labrador retreivers. We were so happy he was there to help us.

Yorkie Puppies Nursing

This is my Mom and I'm nursing with my brother, and one of my brothers or sisters that only lived a short time. I was actually part of a litter of 4, my brother and I lived and are both very healthy to this day...so is my daddy.

My Owner's First Yorkie Gift

The first year that I lived here, my owner's son gave her a beautiful Sandicast piece as a Christmas gift, since then she's collected several other Yorkie figures.

Mother Yorkie & Puppy

This is a picture of my Mom, she took really good care of my brother and me until we were old enough to eat regular food. Isn't she pretty? I don't have a picture of my Dad close-up, but he had curly hair, they called him a "wooley" yorkie.

Yorkie 10 Week Puppy Picture

We look cute when we're puppies, to the right is a picture of me when I was about 10 weeks old. Amazing how much like the painting I look. The picture was taken just a couple weeks after my owner first brought me home from the house next door where I was born. That's about 10 years ago now. I was so small that when she was sleeping at night, I'd curl up in a little donut on her tummy and sleep. I still sometimes sleep in bed between the two owners' pillows at the head of the bed, yeh, I'm spoiled >:-)<

Yorkie Brother and Sister?

I am the puppy on the left, in any pictures that you see of me with my brother, I'm the one that has more light color on my face.

Who Needs a Swiffer?

My owner likes to use a Swiffer Duster to clean, but with 4 yorkies like these running around the house, I don't think she'd need them. This is a lot of beautiful hair, and believe me, we don't have a picture of me to go with this one, I'm a "casual" yorkie.

In Case You Don't Know What a Swiffer Is

Here's what we meant by "Swiffer" above, but my owner said you probably know that already.

How Yorkies and Peanut Butter Mix

One of my owners LOVES peanut butter, everything tastes better with Peanut Butter on it, so I get pretty used to the smell of peanut butter on his breath. The photo at the right is kind of old and like all the others from when I was young was taken with a now old-fashioned camera with film, and not a fancy one, but it shows you how close I like to sleep to one of my owner's face. I was only a couple months old if that in this picture. In case you're wondering whether there is a Yorkie brand peanut butter, we couldn't find any>:-)<

Bad Hair Day

No, the artist didn't call the painting below "bad hair day", we did, because it reminded us of me when my owners took the picture you see of me...I brought them my stuffed bunny to throw, and instead they snapped a picture of me...early in the morning before my almost-daily hair brushing...I was able to get the bow out of my hair before this picture. I roll around on the floor for a while to get the bow out, works every time!

Looking for Squirrels or Cats

Here I am, looking out the shuttered window in the office, wishing that some squirrels would show up, or that a stray cat would run by, so I can bark at them.

Every now and then I get to chase them outside, but we don't have a fenced in yard, and have bears around here, so if I'm going to get exercise, it is usually on a leash.

The yorkie in the photo-art is lucky enough to be able to go outside any time he wants, I guess...how lucky!

My Portrait Picture

This is my usual portrait picture that you'll find on my blog, and almost everywhere I am on the web. It was taken a few years ago around Valentines Day, so I have a nice red bow and bandana on.

Do You Groom Your Dog?

My owner used to pay anywhere from $40-$50 to have me groomed every couple of months, but now she grooms me herself. Like many, she is feeling the effects of things that are happening in what humans call "the economy", and this is one way she can save quite a bit of money. Just think of all the food and dog treats you can buy with what you save..or she says, all the bills that she can pay..oh well.

I think I look pretty good after she's done. It costs 1/2 to less-than-1/2 the price of a grooming to purchase this helpful grooming resource, click here for more information. The link leads to a very appealing site with a cute yorkie picture and a video with more information.

I've been surprised and delighted to receive the honor of Lens of the Day (LOTD) twice since joining Squidoo, once back when Squidoo was fairly new, and again November 9, 2009.

The November 9th LOTD was for a charity lens, "Cranberry Sauce - From Bog to Table" Squidoo gave Soldier's Angels, my charity of choice, a $1000 donation for this, THANK YOU Squidoo, and all of you who have visited.

The first was back in February of 2007 for "Is New Jersey Weird?"

Most of these were taken with an old not-to-fancy camera, so are blurry, but that's all I had back then. These are a random selection of pictures from her birth in 1999 through now, 2009.

Aspen Supports the ASPCA

The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and we continue to battle cruelty today. Whether it's saving a pet who has been accidentally poisoned, fighting to pass humane laws, rescuing animals from abuse or sharing resources wi

We at Squidoo passionately believe in creating new ways to support good causes online. By making a donation to ASPCA from this page, you are sending money directly to that organization, in whatever amount you want. We don't touch it. We don't even see it. The author of this page doesn't either. And if you made it this far, thanks for caring.
