There are times in our lives when we need to get our hands on some extra cash. Whatever the reason, may it be for unforeseen expenses, a trip you want to go on, or maybe there's a show that you want to see. Take a look around your house to see what you don't want or need and give it a try. You'll never know unless you give it a try.

How about some good old manual labor? It's amazing how many people in your neighborhood need help with some basic everyday jobs that they can't do themselves. I'm sure there are some elderly people on your block or in the area that can use some help doing some yard work. In the northern part of this country, quite a few states are getting snow. I'm sure that there are people who are willing to pay someone to do the work for them.

Don't want to get into doing manual labor work? How about those boxes that are piling up in your garage? I'm sure you can go ahead and have a yard sale and sell quite a bit of the things that have been gathering dust for some time now. If you don't want to have people coming to your house, then how about selling some of those smaller items that you have online. There are a handful of sites that you can list your items on their site. You put in the lowest bid that you're willing to except and let the bidding war begin.

For those items that are too big for you to ship across the country, try looking for the local website in your city that you can list the items and avoid the shipping charges.

If those ideas don't seem to tickle your fancy, then maybe you might want to start a dog walking business. Hang flyers around the neighborhood to see if you can drum up some extra cash.
