An Email From Craig

Social Media Makes You Be . . . You

emailperson

I couldn't of said this better, so here is Craig:

"One of the hallmarks of the New Kingdom is transparency. Your thoughts, actions and comments are all part of the public dialogue. Everyone from college students to you to the top corporate CEOs is accessible and involved.

For these and so many other reasons, it's crucial to the success of your brand and your business that you "keep it real." The biggest turn-off or deterrence to a sale is someone who is perceived as a "phony." Your word is literally gold and if you lose that credibility, your name and your business will suffer.

What do we mean by keeping it real?:

* Be honest
* Be helpful
* Share resources, knowledge and information without expectation of a sale in return.
* Don't over-promote or over-hype.
* Your human-ness, which is something we are learning, more and more, is what attracts people to you in the first place.

Your words, in many cases, are all you have -- so your copy is incredibly important in establishing your reputation and, ultimately, your success." -Criag Cannings, VAClassroom.com

One point I really liked from this email is that it doesn't matter who you are, a CEO, college student, Wahm, Internet Marketer you are exposed to everyone. By participating in Social Media you are making your self accessible to everyone.

What is Your Social Media Personality

You can not have success with social media without being transparent and disclosing yourself. Remember as little kids we would have Show-n-Tell at school? Well this is your opportunity to show -n- tell who you really are as a person and as a business owner in front of all your peers.

Always remember: Honesty, being open, willing to admit mistakes, ann never forget you are part of a Social Media Community. We can go back to show-n-tell but playing pretend is out of the question.

Is there one point below the you can keep it in mind all day today. Put it to use in all of your social media communications. Your experience (and the experience of all those who come into contact with you) will be so much more rewarding and worthwhile.
