Giant Squid Summer School Challenge #2 "Prized Possession"

Most Prized Possession

As part of the Giant Squid Summer School, participating Giants receive a specific weekly lensmaking challenge. They have a week to work on the lens, and then post it below to "turn in" their homework and show that it's done.

The Summer School lensmaking challenge #2 was this: We asked the Giants to create a lens about their most prized possession.

We asked them to tell us how they came to own it, what path it took to get to them, how they use it, why they like it, what it means to them.

Here's what the Giant Squid Summer School Class of 2009 came up with!

Attention All (Non Giant) RocketMoms

All RocketMoms were invited to take this challenge alongside the Giant Squids, in their own environment. They are welcome to complete this challenge as the lenses will count towards Rocketmoms graduation, but only Giants are eligible for Giant Summer School graduation and for Purple Stars.

This Lens Donates to the Squidoo Charity Fund

The Squidoo Charity Fund has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity. Thanks to the Squidoo community, we've built schools in Cambodia, given underprivileged classrooms computers and software, funded important reseach against Juvenile Diabetes

We at Squidoo passionately believe in creating new ways to support good causes online. By making a donation to Squidoo Charity Fund from this page, you are sending money directly to that organization, in whatever amount you want. We don't touch it. We don't even see it. The author of this page doesn't either. And if you made it this far, thanks for caring.
