What is Wordpress?

A Short Introduction

Wordpress has been a popular platform used most for blogging. Having your very own Wordpress blog is like one having the coolest blog in cyberspace. The hindrance: Money to purchase your very own domain name and webhosting. Now this lens can help you with that problem as well as how we setup Wordpress
on this very FREE webhost that we are using right now.

Free Domain Name and Webhost

Before we create our very own Wordpress blog, First we must have our very own domain name and web host.

Free Domain
Registering for a .com/.net domain name at the least costs you $10 depending on where do you register your domain name.
For Wordpress newbies, a free domain service like CO.CC can be an good alternative. With co.cc you can have your very own domain named
"www.yourdomain.co.cc" which closer to the real .com site but I still works.

Free Webhost with DNS support
Next, We will register for a webhost with Domain Name Server support (DNS). Having a DNS support means we can use our registered domain name instead of a subdomain name for our Wordpress blog. A usual free host usually don't have a DNS support because this kind of service are usually reserved for paid hosting but I found this one free hosting that support DNS which is call 000webhost.

Here are the some reasons why I recommend this Free hosting

- 350 MB of Disk Space, 100 GB Bandwidth
- Host your own domain (http://www.yourdomain.com)
- cPanel Powered Hosting
- FTP and Web based File Manager
- PHP, MySQL, Perl, CGI,
- Fantastico Software Installer.

4.)On your co.cc account click Setup button under the Nameserver(DNS) Service type and enter the nameserver details you copied from you webhost then press "Setup". You can't use your web host for approximately 48 hours due to the propagation process of the domain name to your webhost.
