Morning Sickness Week By Week

One of the symptoms that 90 percent of all pregnant women experience is morning sickness. This problematic issue is one that can be very disturbing to the pregnancy. If you were to track morning sickness week by week you would find that the level of severity and constancy of this particular first trimester issue is different and usually dissipates after its peak which is at about weeks six through twelve. The good news is that it is almost like a bell curve; it starts off small gets bigger and then gets small and goes away. Unlike the weight issue which starts off low and just keeps getting higher and higher.

Tracking Morning Sickness

Tracking morning sickness week over week you would have to begin about week one. Yes, it's true, your stomach might not do the flip flops it does in week six but you can in some cases start to get just a bit queasy as early as the very first week. These nausea issues will be very low on the scale and might even be too light to even tell but it's there. Into week two and three you begin to feel just a tad queasier, maybe you're getting a bit more indigestion and you know that your stomach just isn't quite right.

Continuing the tracking of morning sickness week by week you then enter week four and five. For some the morning sickness although not full bore yet is becoming problematic in that you might get heart burn and you decide that perhaps you shouldn't eat in the morning. You might begin to vomit but usually it is a bit soon for that. Your overall stomach is just restless and out of sorts and you might burp a little bit more than normal. You find yourself rubbing your tummy a bit to settle it down.

Morning Sickness Week Six Though Eight

Enter week six through eight. If you are tracking morning sickness week by week this is when the morning sickness hits full throttle. There is no longer any doubt what you are experiencing. You might wake up with it, you might go to sleep with it but you definitely feel it and it makes itself known to you. You have nausea for hours at a time and you will occasionally vomit. Make sure to stay hydrated and eat properly to continue to get the right nutrients to the baby. You won't want to eat though.

Surviving Morning Sickness The First And Second Trimester

Morning sickness can then stay with you through the first trimester and for some into the second. Some women have it almost their entire pregnancy although this is rare. Tracking morning sickness week by week you will find that through weeks thirteen to sixteen you feel better and better and then by weeks sixteen on you rarely have symptoms. This of course is not true for everyone but it gives you an idea of what to expect in terms of timing. Morning sickness is a first trimester early second trimester pregnancy symptom; you will learn to deal with it as time goes by. Don't forget to stay hydrated, find foods that are healthy that your body can accept and make sure you are continuing to get nutrients into your body.
