The picture to the right is taken on Cozumel on our Christmas 2008 cruise vacation. It is what life is all about...FAMILY and making memories. In fact, this whole lens is about YOUR DASH....in other words, the time you have between your birth and your death. What are you doing with your time on this earth to make a difference?

We hear it all the time: Life is about balance. The key to happiness and good health is finding a way to level your responsibilities as an employee, business owner, parent, spouse and friend. The more time you have available for yourself, enables you to create better balance in your life. This lens is about balance for the benefit of you and yours.

Florida Court Sets Atheist Holiday

In Florida, an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and Passover holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.'
Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day.
Court is adjourned."

I WOKE UP THIS MORNING

Does this sound like how your day goes? You're awakened by a screeching alarm clock and you roll over and hit the snooze (because you're still tired). It goes off a second time and now you jump up, have a quick shower, get dressed, grab a bagel and cup of coffee for the commute. You jump into stressful, irritating rush hour traffic to get to the J.O.B. (Just Over Broke) that you really don't care that much for but hey, you're blessed just to have an income, with the way todays economy is, right?

You put in your 9-5, or whatever it is that you have to do, then get back in the car for the commute home with all the others doing the same. You get changed, maybe chip away at the list of things to do around the house (there's always a list), have some dinner, maybe spend a brief amount of time with the family, watch some TV, hit the sack and wake up tomorrow and do it all over again. YUCK!!! But what the heck, you say, I have to....

Make a Living

Let me suggest a better way to do your day. How does rolling out of bed when you're done sleeping sound to you? You may even wake up earlier than you did with the alarm clock because you'll be refreshed and looking forward to your day. What a difference!!!

Change into your favorite lounge clothes (or stay in your pajamas if you like), grab a cup of coffee and take a leisurely stroll (the picture above is my "commute") into your comfortable home office, (with great tax benefits, by the way). Turn on the computer, go on-line and check a few accounts to see how much you've made overnight (since your businesses run pretty much on autopilot 365/24/7) and then decide what you're going to do with the rest of your day. Maybe...

Put in a couple hours on your businesses tweaking
them for increased profits $$$

Head out to play a round of golf, tennis, or whatever
with your wife, son or friends

Work in the yard, go to the beach, take a hike or stroll thru the park

Head to the new car dealer and take a few test drives in some of the cars you've been
considering but couldn't afford till now

Book your next luxurious vacation (possibly thru your
own travel site that will actually pay you too)

Take the family to an afternoon matinee at bargain rates (we homeschool our children so this is feasible)

Start that home improvement project you've been wanting to do or get the contractors started while you
"Supervise"

Or do just about whatever you want to do with your day because

You're the Boss

You see, there's a HUGE difference between just Making a Living and Making a Life. Life is all about balance. We all have to earn an income in some way just to sustain life. Typically, that involves working for someone, exchanging your time for some sort of wage. We get all "out of balance" with this system because the majority of our waking hours are spent bringing home the bacon. It leaves precious little time for Livin' Life.

The Internet, and the vastness of it all, enables anyone, with the right knowledge, to earn their entire income, from home (no matter where "home" is). Maybe, you've already been looking into trying to do something on the Internet. Possibly, that's exactly what brought you to this website. If so, I'll bet you have all kinds of ebooks and newsletters and stuff like that clogging up your hard drive. Well, it's time to finally take action and get your life back.

Making Money From Home

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing

Do you find that there always tends to be more month than there is money? In this module, I'll be discussing strategies to get out of debt and live in a debt-free lifestyle. Just imagine what it would be like to live without the stress of debt. If the only monthly expenses you had were food, utilities, insurance and gas (whew, there's a big one these days), how much would it cost you to live? And, anything over and above that you earn could be used for MAKING MEMORIES....how cool would that be?

With the state of the economy the way it is, layoffs and unemployment at record levels, there's huge interest in ways to make extra income.

People are desperate - and, with a potential recession looming ahead, it looks like it'll get worse before it gets better. But, for those that are enthusiastic and have a desire to pave their own destiny, the future has never looked brighter. Opportunities on the information superhighway, the internet, are exploding. All you need is a bit of education which I hope to be able to be of assistance to you.

So what's the solution? Start to investigate different ways to add to your income. Preferably, not by getting another job. Instead, harness some of the diverse ways the internet can help.

There are a few things you can do immediately to begin to make a difference in your financial picture:

1) Move completely to paying via CASH! File your credit cards away - and start ONLY using your debit card. That way, you can still use a card to pay - but it's tied to money you already have. If you don't have the money, don't buy it. And you never pay interest for using your debit card.

2) Establish how much money you can pay on your current debts each month - and pay that amount EVEN AFTER YOU PAY OFF A DEBT. For example, if you can afford to pay $1,000 toward your debts each month, do that. Some would say to pay off your highest interest rate accounts first. I'd say pay off your lowest balance debt first. That way, you will see quick success and progress being made. Then, get rid of those cards you pay off and roll the payment you were making on them, into the next largest debt, till it's paid off. And continue to do this without fail. You'll be amazed at how quickly your debts decrease if you stay disciplined.

These steps work much easier if you have the money to do it with, right?

That's why I believe that TRUE FINANCIAL FREEDOM... getting out of debt and creating wealth... cannot be done by simply "cutting back". While that's certainly a good first step, you should still be considering ways to MAKE MORE too.

That's what my lens on Making Money From Home is all about. Take a look at the ideas that are referenced there. I'm confident you'll be able to discover some ideas for increasing your income and becoming debt-free. We're working in that direction and are looking forward to the day we burn our mortgage!

In the spring of 2005, I was diagnosed with neck cancer (squamous cell carcinoma, stage 4). Have you ever heard of such a thing? This came as quite a shock to me (no duh!) since I'm have been blessed with an extremely healthy life. In fact, I'm one of those guys that rarely even got a headache. Anyway, I am blessed to say that I am now healed (Praise God) and have been given a clean bill of health.

Along this journey that I ventured down, I researched extensively regarding health issues. I have become a strong proponent of natural alternatives and for supplementation. Over our lifetime, we pollute our bodies with the things we eat, drink and breathe. We simply are not getting proper and complete nutrition from our meals. We need to give ourselves proper input in order to enable our systems to do what they were designed to do.

In this module I'll be sharing some thoughts with you regarding healthy living. Hopefully you will see the benefits of what is being presented.

Colon Cleanse

Okay, let's talk about POOP. Wait a minute...before you think I'm some sort of nut case. Simply this: "The Healthy Living Organization" reveals, "There is nothing more important to your health than a clean digestive system". USA TODAY reveals that the average person has "5 to 10 pounds" of fecal matter lining their colon! YUK!!!

Our colon is like the "sewer system" of our body. Processed foods like pasteurized milk, flour, sugar and foods packed with preservatives, contain toxic elements that gradually buildup in the intestine. This buildup causes a hardened film on the inside of the intestine decreasing your body's ability to absorb nutrients. It can also cause lower metabolism, unhealthy weight gain, and increasing your chances of potentially harmful health problems.

One of the first things I did, after hearing that I had cancer, was to do a total colon cleanse. Not that it was going to change my condition but because I had never done one and it just made sense. I was amazed at how different I felt once completing the cleanse. It's hard to describe but somehow, I seemed fresher, lighter and overall, well, cleaner.

Keep in mind as I mentioned earlier. I have always been pretty healthy and wasn't really aware of the benefits of cleaning my colon. But now, I'm a strong advocate of taking care of my plumbing at least once a year.

You can do a search for "colon cleansers" and be inundated with possibilities. Or, you can check out some of the reputable sites below for these products as well as other vitamins and supplements at a great discount over your local pharmacy or health food store.

CLEAN YOUR PIPES

Well, here they are....Maisey (our yellow lab) and Marlee (obviously the black one). They truly live a charmed life. There's pretty much always somebody home with them. They get plenty of attention and, as you can see from the photo, they love to lounge around in the sun.
