Caring for a new baby can be a daunting task at first. I've put this page together to share some of my tips - both from the perspective of a mother, and of a childminder - for caring for your new baby.

Getting Cheap Baby Furniture 

Having a baby costs a fortune - trust me, I've had 3.

There are a million places that you can find cheap baby furniture and in most of these places, you will find good quality and safe baby furniture. When it comes time to purchase your baby furniture you may want to do several things before going to an expensive store. First, you want to ask any of your family if they have anything. Most people have a cousin or sister that had a baby who grew out of their furniture like the crib, but it's still in good condition. Sometimes you may find out that your parents kept your crib. Hand-me-downs are nice because they can save a lot of money or you can get your money's worth.

Books for You and Your Baby 

Books are great, serving the purpose of both educating you about baby care, and as a bonding excercise between you and your baby.
