So what kind of internet business is best for you. There are several different kinds of internet businesses you can start and it is important before getting started that you think about which kind best fits your personality and your lifestyle and preferences.

There are four basic kinds of internet businesses. First, you can become a network marketing distributor and use the internet as your main method of doing business. This is what I do. If you choose this option, however, you need to be aware that you will not see immediate success and that you will need to do some offline promotion of your business as well. This business works well for people who enjoy networking with others and are good at speaking on the phone or who want to become good at it. You must become comfortable with speaking on the phone if you are going to succeed with network marketing online. It also works well for people who are willing to spend some money and time without making it a full time job. Many people who run a network marketing business online are part time.

The second kind of business is an affiliate marketing business. This is when you become an affiliate of several programs and promote these products online and earn an income this way. This works well if you do not want to create your own product or do network marketing and if you are good at writing and blogging and if you are willing to spend a little bit more money. Promoting affiliate products can be difficult and competitive and so this business is best for people who can come up with creative ways of reaching niches and audiences that have not already been exhausted.

The third kind of business is an info products business. This business requires more money up front because unless you already have a great idea for a product that no one else is selling and for which there is a reasonable audience you will need to get some training and mentoring. You also will have some additional costs with software and programs to get going with creating your information products. You can do this on a smaller scale without a lot of money but making the big bucks requires quite a bit of time and money investment in the beginning.

The fourth kind is opening up your own online store of some kind, either through Ebay or with your own store. This kind is the most expensive because you have to obtain products and inventory as well as develop a marketing plan and in many cases your own website with shopping cart which can get pricey. This option works best if you already have an idea of what you want to sell and about where you can obtain your products. It also works well if you are planning on running your internet business on a full time basis.
