Now that we have a globalized economy...
What should be done about overseas outsourcing?
Well, the simple answer is: nothing. The fact of the matter is that, even if we didn't live in a global economy, the workings of capitalism would still revolve around the fundamental principles of outsourcing. Do you want to spend time making a fire every night to cook your meals, or would you prefer to buy a stove? Do you want to go out and hunt your food, or would you prefer to buy meat from the local grocer?
If someone can do something at a lower cost or in less time than you, then you pay them to do it. People think it's unfair that certain tasks are outsourced simply because some countries can do things WAY cheaper, more efficiently, quicker, and sometimes just plain better than we can. It seems unfair that our competition could have such a huge advantage...
But that's the way it's supposed to be. The people who can perform a task the best at the lowest rate will win out. It's best for everyone that way.

Wikipedia on 'Outsourcing'
See the whole picture on outsourcing here.
Outsourcing is subcontracting a process, such as product design or manufacturing, to a third-party company. The decision to outsource is often made in the interest of lowering firm or making better use of time and energy costs, redirecting or conserving energy directed at the competencies of a particular business, or to make more efficient use of land, labor, capital, (information) technology and resources. Outsourcing became part of the business lexicon during the 1980s.
