Emotional Power Within

I am sure in some of my lenses I have mentioned that Lynn Andrews was my favorite author. Throughout the years I have been lead to many different books she has written and each time I read one of her books, it was as if it was a manifestation of something that was time for me to learn on my own journey.

Many years ago, I gave up on waiting on my physical teacher/mentor to come into my life. When I released that way of thinking, it was made clear to me that life and most people who step onto my path had something to teach me. "We are all teachers, and we are all students." So by reading Lynn Andrews books, I have learned a lot about myself, by reading what her teachers were teaching her.

I believe one of Lynn Andrews's teachers said it best, "When you look at a plant, that plant is not trying to be a rose or any other plant. People on the other hand get confused and get wrapped around something like a vine because it is bigger than they are and they think it is the truth. Many times that causes them to get interwoven with thoughts and ideas that do not belong to them." That somewhat reminds of the piece I wrote about Chameleon People. Within myself, I use My Intuition and My Energy to understand and accept if a thought or idea is right for me or not. In order to use intuition and your energy you must Believe in your higher self. This is a perfect example: Years ago, I use to talk someone who was a Satanist. They would tell me about their beliefs and if I had a question I asked. I was able to listen to this person without judgment but did not carry or absorb any of the information over into my energy because I knew that path was not right for me.

Many times people act as parasites and want to suck someone dry of their knowledge instead of searching for their own way or trusting that a certain Spiritual Path is right for them. You know without a doubt if something feels good to you or not; if you feel good when you think about it, if you see a part of that concept as being a part of you and if you want to truly learn from it, than you know that path is right.

That is how you begin to find your Person Power. You walk and learn with this power but do not lose yourself in the process. You remain motivated from a place of passion within your own unique life. You are making an act of power by creating the mirrors that become your teacher.

Many times in our lives we go through something called a "Shaman Deaths"; I wrote a lens about this: A Shaman's Death that talks alittle more about this subject. Some people may refer to this as "Ego Deaths" or "Change of Life". It feels as if you lose yourself, your identity and you have a hard time finding your balance.

After a while you feel as if you have been reborn, you become more aware, more defined in who you are. Can you have more than one Shaman Death? YES!! I seem to be on a twelve year cycle with my own experiences with this.

Each of us is like a tree, the branches being the years of our lives and the leaves being the experiences. As each leaf falls from the tree, a new one will replace it and as each leaf hits the earth there is a harmonic sound made. Each of us carries our own song that must be sung, to lose your song is to lose your soul. Just as the trees sings their songs each Autumn to teach us that life is never ending, so we must learn to sing our own songs and honor the changes we go through.

Sometimes unintentionally we give away our inner power. This can be done so easily and often really go unnoticed until you find yourself always feeling drained, confused and unbalanced. Often this happens in relationships when you are trying so hard to make it work. You always seem to be reaching for some kind of stability and in the process you slowly begin to lose your inner power.

It happens to the best of people, to the strongest and to the weakest; losing your inner power is not prejudice in any way, shape or form. So what do we do when this happens? The first step is reclaiming your power and trying to understand why you gave it away in the first place. Once you start reclaiming your power; any kind of stability you felt you had will disappear. But if that is the case, wasn't the stability you felt you had, false? Of course it is easier to flow with the currents, smile and nod and go on about your business, but there are many women in the world that has that inner warrior that says, oh no you do not! You are strong, you are an individual and you do matter!

This could happen in any relationship you are in, not just with your partner. If it ever does happen to you, do not spend a life time beating yourself up, accept it happened, change it by reclaiming your power and find another way to gain stability without losing yourself or your power. Just always remember, you are strong, you are an individual and your inner power is very important!
