You're a YTB Rep... Now What?
The nice thing about the Internet is that you can sign up for YTB at any of hour of the day or night, and be in business with your own marketing website in a matter of minutes. When you sign up for free as a YTB Independent Marketing Representative, or Rep, you're essentially an affiliate of the company who will earn a $50 commission on each personal travel agency sale. YTB's commission structure is explained more fully in the presentation below. Signing up as a Rep is a great way to get a feel for the travel business. It gives you a chance to study the training materials, watch the online presentations, and attend certification events in your local area. If you decide later to upgrade to a Referring Travel Agent with your own booking engine, that's great too. But why not test the waters a bit?
