You're a YTB Rep... Now What?

The nice thing about the Internet is that you can sign up for YTB at any of hour of the day or night, and be in business with your own marketing website in a matter of minutes. When you sign up for free as a YTB Independent Marketing Representative, or Rep, you're essentially an affiliate of the company who will earn a $50 commission on each personal travel agency sale. YTB's commission structure is explained more fully in the presentation below. Signing up as a Rep is a great way to get a feel for the travel business. It gives you a chance to study the training materials, watch the online presentations, and attend certification events in your local area. If you decide later to upgrade to a Referring Travel Agent with your own booking engine, that's great too. But why not test the waters a bit? This lens is designed to assist new Reps in setting up their businesses. The exclusive team training information pertains to Reps in my particular line of sponsorship. Set Up Your YTB Marketing Website 

www.ytb.com/UserID

As soon as you sign up, YTB will send a welcome email with important information about your account. Save the email for future reference, as it will include both your YTB ID# and UserID. Your YTB ID# uniquely identifies you as one of YTB's Independent Marketing Reps, eligible to receive $50 on every personal online travel agency sale. Your marketing site url will look something like this: http://www.ytb.com/UserID. You'll need to log in to your back office to set up your website. This is also the site you'll share with people who are interested in learning more about YTB. Once your site is up and running, contact me and I'll add it to the list below.

Update your personal information and website settings under the Account tab. Your Toolbox is located on the left side under My YTB. This is where you'll find a complete training manual for your new YTB business. Just think... no bulky and expensive tools to purchase. Everything is conveniently located in your back office! The YTB companies offer two unique and powerful business opportunities, that of referring travel agent or RTA and that of independent marketing representative or Rep. The travel agent opportunity has an initial fee under $500 and a monthly license fee of $49.95. There is no fee or travel agency purchase required to be a Rep. You may choose to participate in one or both opportunities.
