Should I Give My Pagan Friend a Christmas Gift?

Do Pagans Celebrate Christmas?

Do you have a friend or family member that is Pagan? Do you wonder if you should get him or her a gift for Christmas? Do pagans celebrate Christmas?

The answer is no, but we do celebrate Yule, or the Winter Solstice, which occurs a few days before Christmas. So giving a gift would be very appropriate and probably much appreciated. Here are some suggestions for gifts that might interest pagans and witches.

Winter Solstice Feather Witch Ball

I am fascinated with witch balls and your pagan friend will be too. Legends say that witch balls, which are hollow, colored glass orbs, were hung in the window for protection against evil spells and negativity.

Divination Decks

Midwinter Hidden Path
The Well Worn Path and Hidden Path decks are our favorite divination cards. Written by Wiccan authors Raven Grimassi and Stephanie Taylor, and pagan artist Mickie Mueller, they are designed specifically for pagans and witches. Although each deck stands alone, we have found combining the two decks to be more insightful. An excellent gift choice for readers of tarot.

The third deck is Mickie Mueller's own divination oracle "Voice of the Trees."

Sample card is called MidWinter and is from the Hidden Path deck. Used with permission.

Pagans Love Jewelry

tiger eye pendant Most pagans I know love jewelry and stones. We enjoy the metaphysical properties of the stones themselves, plus they are pretty to look at. It is ironic that my parents had a rock shop when I was growing up and I hated rocks. Ah, if I only knew then what I know now.

This beautiful gold tiger eye pendant would make a wonderful gift. Tiger Eye is a stone of protection that is also very grounding. It enhances integrity, willpower, practicality and correct use of power. It is a stone that enhances good luck, and brings prosperity, often in the form of money.

Paganism is an earth-centered religion, so many pagans are very interested in "Going Green." They might not even put up a traditional tree but prefer decorate the trees outside with berries and treats for the birds. Here is a very unique. eco-friendly gift. Calendars Make Great Gifts

Every year for over ten years, my sister has sent me a pagan themed calendar for Yule. Although she is Christian, it is her way of supporting my path, a gesture which I accept with gratitude. Here is a sample of calendars that might be of interest to that pagan friend or family member.

Here It Is - the Wow Present

I don't know anyone who doesn't want a Kindle Fire. Most pagans I know are book-aholics. We love to read. I recently gave away almost all of my hard copy books that we had collected over many years. Amazingly, it was not hard to do that, for I had just bought a Kindle. Since we now live in an RV it is perfect for storing our ever growing library.

The Kindle Fire is that and so much more. You can watch movies, play music, play games, and read magazines and books. If you can't afford the Fire, one of the lower priced Kindles are wonderful as well. I am very happy with mine and just love shopping for books on-line.

Still Stuck for Ideas?

Open bookWhen my husband and I decided to live full time in an RV, we gave away most of our possession. My children asked, "Now what can we give you for gifts?" Since I have a Kindle, the answer was simple.

I would love to get Amazon Gift Cards. That way I can pick which books I want to read and no one has to worry that I have read it already. Easy to buy and greatly appreciated, even if the person you are buying it for does not have a Kindle (if not then see the suggestion above).

Love this topic and am impressed by the diversity of great gift items you've collected here. The Tiger Eye pendant is my favorite item here; I have long been fascinated by that particular stone, and the one pictured is very lovely.
