Asian influences in the USA
Kim Phan is the designer behind Yumi Kim. You could say she was into fashion design the moment she could. Instead of playing dress up with her friends, Kim Phan actually tried to make the clothes from scraps and old vintage items. She designed her own prom dresses because she enjoyed it and after her graduation from the San Diego State Uni, Kim Phan moved to New York to take on a job in the music industry.
But obviously, fashion was her calling, and she quit her job to design the Yumi Kim collection.
She uses quality materials like silk clothes and natural wool, making her designs easy and comfortable to wear.

Adding color to this, you get the examples on the right.
The Rosette Dress with vintage print is definitely an example of the vintage look. It's made of 100% silk with a typical print that was popular in grandmothers time.
The Mary Dress with blue and yellow print has a modern look and is also made of 100%. it's extremely comfortable to wear.
The third dress on the right is the Andy Dress with birdlike print. It's also made of 100% silk and very comfortable to wear.
