Yuwie Review - You can Make money by being Social
There is a new player in the Online Social Network game. It is also the fasters growing social network on record. The new site on the block is Yuwie.
They actually pay you to do everything you would normally do on MySpace. What Is Yuwie? It's a web 2.0 site in the sense that it relies on contributions from thousands of internet users to build up a social network. The difference between yuwie and, say, MySpace is that it shares its advertising revenue with its members on the basis that the more you use it, the more you make.
There's a ton of things like that out there but I took a look at the Alexa ranking for yuwie (Alexa gives you one opinion about the popularity of a site) and it seems to be very fast moving although it is very early days. Today yuwie ranks around 15,000 which means only around 15,000 websites of the many billions that are out there are more popular.
On 3rd August the figure was around 50,000 so it's moving up very fast indeed.
One of the more powerful aspects of yuwie is that you make money when people you recommend to yuwie sign up too - like a network marketing arrangement but crucially without the need to pay anything to join. It all goes down 10 levels or something like that which sounds stunning except that there aren't really that many people on the planet!
The current advertising revenue appears to come mainly from AdSense too so it is another way of getting paid by Google.
So where's yuwie going? I don't know yet but we'll probably know in a few weeks time. The crucial factors will be the popularity of the interface and site functionality and how quickly it builds critical mass.
The critical mass factor will definitely be helped significantly by the in-built revenue sharing aspect. Only time will reveal whether the functionality is attractive to a wide range of users.
Worth a look at at this stage if you wish to broaden your income streams and possibly get in on a potential winner early on.

The Yuwie Revenue Sharing Rate (RSR)
The RSR (revenue sharing rate) determines how much the users get paid. Here's how it works. After each month, a report will be generated in your earnings area. It will show exactly how many views your referral tree accumulated on each level. It will also show your earnings for each level. Here's the actual calculation:
RSR x (Page Views/1000) x Level Percentage = Your Earnings

Yuwie Profit Share RSR Earnings for October 2007
OCTOBER RSR = $0.35
The RSR is a lot lower than we would like, but advertising was bad last month. This month looks much better, so far. Keep in mind that internet advertising has peaks and valleys, so our RSR will always fluctuate some.
FYI:
1. You have to have a minimum of $25 before you can get paid.
2. We pay net 60 which means any earnings for October will be paid around January 1. (We have to collect from advertisers before we can pay you)
3. If you didn't earn enough to get a check this month, your earnings will be rolled into next month.
Yuwie RSR Earning for September 2007
The September RSR and earnings reports have been generated. Just go to your control panel, and click the earnings icon (the moneybag) to see your earnings.
SEPTEMBER RSR = $0.46
IMPORTANT: WE HAVE CHANGED THE MINIMUM PAYMENT FROM $50 TO $25
FYI:
1. You have to have a minimum of $25 before you can get paid.
2. We pay net 60 which means any earnings for September will be paid around December 1. (We have to collect from advertisers before we can pay you)
3. If you didn't earn enough to get a check this month, your earnings will be rolled into next month's.

Yuwie Earnings for July - Yuwie Review
The July RSR and earnings reports have been generated. Just go to your control panel, and click the earnings icon to see your earnings.
JULY RSR = $0.41
Nobody got rich this month, but we consider the first month of Yuwie a HUGE success. (Honestly we expected the first month's RSR to be much lower.) Stick with it and watch those page views climb. With a few active referrals, in a few months, you'll be earning some substantial checks.
FYI:
1. You have to have a minimum of $50 before you can get paid. ( changed to $25 Minimum in Sept 07 )
2. We pay net 60 which means any earnings for July will be paid at the end of September. (We have to collect from advertisers before we can pay you)

Yuwie Tips - How to Blog On Yuwie
Several people don't have their blogs set up or don't know how to blog so let me help you.
First go to your Control Panel. On the left hand side underneath your Picture you will see what I call the "Small Box Menu". On the second row, and last Icon you see what looks like a couple of boxs stacked together. When you scroll your mouse over each ICON it will display what that MENU box is used for.
Click on the MENU BOX for Blog.
Next you will see Tabs for ENTRIES, SETTINGS & NEW ENTRY.
First lets go to SETTINGS. Click it.
Here you have the options to give your overall BLOG a TITLE, Number of Home page entries, Time Format, Date Format, and Description of your Blog. After you set that up for your own particulars.
It's time for you to make your first blog post.
Click on NEW ENTRY from the Top Tabs.
You will see a Page that you will write your Blog posts.
The First box is: Entry Title
The entry title is the Title of the individual blog post you are writing. Give your Blog Post a Title of what your are writing about.
The Next box is a choice of Public or Private. Most of you should pick PUBLIC.
Next Large Box is the place where your write your BLOG post or story.
Click so that your cursor is flashing in the LARGE BOX to begin writing.
Those of you who are familiar with Microsoft Word will recognize the Menu bar options for formating. If you are not mouse over those options to see what they can accomplish.
Write your Blog post or story. Use the formating options available to you.
To Link Something:
Highlight the word or words you want LINKed and click on the Paper Clip looking Icon on your Formating menu bar. The mouse over will read CreateLink. When you click on that paper clip Icon (Create Link) a new mini window will pop up. ( If you don't see the window, adjust your browser setting to allow popups for this site).
Past your Link address (URL) in the Bottom Box. Just the WWW.THENAME.COM and not the Http:// part. The http part is already in the upper box pre-set for you
Once you have finished your Post you have the option to Save as a Draft ( which means Not Published) or Save Live ( which means it will now appear on your site)
Hopefully Now you can all Blog:

Yuwie Tips - How to Help Increase Yuwie Page View Counts
Since it's all about pageviews we need to know what counts as a Pageview.
There are 3 types, Your Personal views inside your Control Panel, Your Referral Views and Other People Viewing your Site.
According to Yuwie, We get credit on Page views that:
When anyone views any of these pages, it counts as 1 page view for you:
1. your profile page
2. your blog pages
3. view all your friends
4. view all your comments
5. your picture pages
6. if someone views one of your shared layouts
We are also get credit for:
When you view any of these pages, it counts as 1 page view.
1. any of your control panel pages, including but not limited to: settings, messaging, friends, referrals, favorites, etc.
The following does not count as a page view:
The following does not count as a page view:
1. Refreshing/reloading a page
2. Any page that's viewed within 3 seconds of the last page doesn't count
When our Downline Referrals do any of the above activities we get credit as well.
So Gang, remember to work your back end.
Also Help your Friends out pay going to their sites, view their Blogs, View their Pictures, Click view all Friends, and Click View All Comments.
Then let that friend know you did it. Hopefully they will do the same for you, because Karma has a way of coming around.
You can make a comment saying:
I just added several Pageviews to your Monthly total not only by viewing your profile but by Clicking Viewing all your Friends, by Clicking View all your comments, By Clicking View all Pictures and By Reading your Blog posts. Hopefully when you have a chance you can do the same on mine.
Here is Yuwie's Help post as what counts as a Page view so you know as well http://www.yuwie.com/help/?f=53
If we all give a little bit, then we can all get a little bit :)
I also Suggest:
Look at your Referral Tree - Open the pages of your Downlines, Then go through all their blogs, Pictures, view all friends, View all comments and you are not only giving them pageviews -- You are Adding to your total as well -- since you get credit for their page view totals!!
Make sense?
PS. A lot of the advertisement on Yuwie is paid out for just being show, so your page views helps the bottom line.
How is Yuwie Making Money? Part 1
How is Yuwie Making Money?
The business model which Yuwie is running is all based upon advertisement.
Currently Yuwie is using three types of Advertisement models in order to generate revenue.
Model 1) Google Adsense. These contextual ads show up on pages based upon major keywords or themes that are relevant to the website page itself. They pay based upon a user clicking on the ad.
When one clicks on these ads they are taken to a new page with an offer to purchase a product or service. Yuwie gets paid based upon you clicking that ad, not if you purchase the product. The payout of these click through Adsense ads can be anywhere from a penny to over a dollar or two. It is based upon what the advertisers pay to have there ads displayed.
Do NOT Click on Google Adsense Ads just to Click them. Only if you are truly interested and induced by the ad to find out more. Yuwie could lose their Adsense if they receive a high volume of False Clicks or "Click Fraud". So it you are clicking on Google Adsense because you think it will increase your Payouts, just to click them, the Opposite will actually happen. Google Pays Out every 30 days based upon revenue earned the prior month. Net 30 day terms.
Google Adsense is a Good Revenue producer and I make about $1000 a month on my non Yuwie sites from Adsense Alone. If you have websites other than Yuwie and where interested in creating an Adsense Account you can find out information on Building Income Here
Model 2) CPM network via Adbrite. A CPM model are usually banner ads that appear on a website. An Advertiser will pay based upon the amount of impressions his banner is displayed. The advertiser pays X per 1000 impressions. Yuwie gets paid when these Banners are displayed. No action is required from the viewer. This is one reason why Page views are important to Yuwie. Each time we view a page that has a CPM banner, Yuwie will generate revenue. Adbrite CPM Model pays out every 60 days. Net 60.

What americans must remember as the rest of the world communicates with us, is that, not everything we say in America, translates to not only a different language but different culturs. The Yuwie Recruiting Paradigm shift
Yuwie is based on a hybrid model of social networking and MLM based recruiting. We know that in order to be successful in the monetary aspect of Yuwie we need to recruit members and fill out downlines.
However the standard MLM / Home Based Business / Internet marketing hard sell approach and tactics will only lead to limited success.
Most of the recruiting tips I have seen displayed are the Old School but Newbie Marketing Ideas of Traffic Exchanges, Auto Surf Programs, Safelists, FFA's ( are they still around), Traffic stacker programs, Et Al.
When you are marketing or presenting and opportunity you need to know the target base you are attempting to recruit. When using the Traffic exchange routine your target base is other "Internet Marketing" people. Unfortunately, most of those same people have limited reach, scope, marketing knowledge, and are more interested in presenting their Biz Opp then looking at yours. It's a classic example of the Insurance Man meeting the Used Car Salesman. Both pushing their own products, not interested in hearing about the other.
Also believe it or not, there are only a limited number of Home Based Business people. I would say less than 2% of all internet users, are home based business / MLM/ Internet marking people. Why Not Reach the Other 98 Percent!!
I am not saying don't use these recruiting venues, but realize that even if you do have some initial success, in getting referral, the money comes from the pageviews generated. Are these Marketers you have recruited, going to recruit for you and be active generating you pageviews? Or are they going to sign up and drop it just like any of their other biz ops?
If you have 1000 people in level 1 and some recruit, but are inactive and generate no pageviews, your bottom line is still next to nothing.
The Yuwie Model is based upon Pageviews and Levels of pageviews. So you need to recruit people who are going to be active.
Lets take two examples.
Recruit Sam is an internet marketing person. He comes on board. Has a some initial success and recruits 50 people. Yeah that's 50 people in my downline. Those 50, half are active, but 25 go out and recruit another 25 people, in which half are active. The line continues in each level where only half are active. Your end results are a large downline of inactivity or less than desirable pageviews.
Now lets look at Recruit Sandy. Sandy doesn't know what a Biz opp is, never heard of a Traffic exchange, has not notion of recruiting or working a downline. She joins Yuwie, explores the social aspect and enjoys her yuiwe experience. She is active and giving you a significant amount of pageviews each month. What Sandy does have are friends. Friends she knows personally and can talk to about Ywuie. Sandy is a Gold mine. She is active and can email her personal friends.
I want as many Sandy's in my downline as possible. The "Sandy" recruits are the ones that are already using social networks, but not for the money aspect.
From a Recruiting Standpoint I want to focus my efforts to Reach the "Sandy recruits" at least 80% of the time and the "Sam Recruits" only about 20% of the time.
Recruiting "Sandys". First you need to Identify who are the potential "Sandy Recruits". They are housewives, Neighbors, Friends, Relatives, Co-workers, Teens, College students, they are the Other 98 percent of the internet users.
Where do you find "Sandy Recruits".
In your own Back yard. Huh?
1) Look through your contacts List. Write a short note about your Yuwie Experience, the fun, the games. Leave the money as an after though. Focusing on the money aspect will turn off more people than it will attract. Add your Yuwie Referral URL to your Signature Tag of your emails. Are you a member of an fraternal organizations, clubs, were are you social off-line. Those will be your Best Recruits.
On Other Social Gathering Places
2) Are you a member of any forums? do you own a personal blog, are you a member of a myspace, facebook, twitter account? Where did you spend the most amount of time prior to joining yuwie? Leave comments on Blogs with your Shortened or re-directed Referral URL's. Add Yuwie to forum signature Tags. Join Forums or places that you have a Common, NON Internet Marketing Interest. You like Dogs or Cats, Join an Online Dog or Cats Forum. Get yourself established. Then add your Signature URL.
Marketing to marketer will only lead you so far. Marketing to People that are social a will lead to more social activity and pageviews.
Once You Recruit a Sandy, Encourage them , Help them have a great Yuwie experience. Don't Push the Money. Don't Push them to Traffic Exchanges, Ask then to use the INVITE Button, or Email and talk to their personal OFF LINE Friends.
Yuwie is about having Fun, Those that Have Fun, will bring in others to have Fun with them. The Fun people will Have Large Active Downlines and large numbers of Pageviews($).
If you haven't invited a Personal Friend this week, Go check your Email contact list. Send out a short note or letter. Go back to some place you were active prior to Yuwie, leave some comments with your URL, Show them your Yuwie Page. Have Banner on your Profile where they can Click to join.
Just go out and do it :)
