"Arrested Deveopment": The Zaniest, Cleverest 'Pseudo-Docu-Drama' Comedy Ever
Ranked #25,433 in Entertainment, #285,701 overall | Donates to Squidoo Charity Fund
I was drawn to the show through the commercials, but wisely waited until the DVD came out and had a feast of belly laughs.
The Bluth family is our worst nightmare and our salvation. When we are feeling sorry for ourselves we are sure that we are Michael surrounded by selfish, horrible people. Or worse yet, we are afraid that deep down we aren't Michael at all, but rather, inept GOB or narcissistic Lindsay or the hopelessly out of touch with ourselves Tobias. But then we see this outrageous family and know that no one is really like that at all. We relax and forgive others and ourselves and just laugh and role on the floor and laugh. And when we watch it the second time we see more layers and things we missed the first time. And this the third time there is even more.
And if Norman Cousins was right, that laughing can cure even the most dire illness, we are also adding many healthy years to our lives.
Now how can this not be the best EVER?

[everyone gasps]
Michael: ...Interesting. I would have expected that after "They're keeping Dad in jail."

Michael: Are you sure?

I only discovered Arrested Development quite recently. I think it is one of the most original, hilarious American sit-coms I have ever seen. I would heartily recommend it !! By the way when I put 'Arrested development' into the 'search Squidoo' box your lens didn't come up and I only found it by chance - I think this is because it is mis-spelled in your title !!

This sounds awesome and somehow I've missed it, but not for long! Thanks for submitting your lens to the Parody and Satire Group. Sorry, it's taken me so long to get back to you, but I took a day job for a couple of months ( it's given some material for a couple of new lenses). Now I'm back.

Michael: Soup?
