Zenfilm is the creation of Merideth Melville, and myself, W. Ross Wells, Commercial Film Director. We have been making TV commercials and advertising-as-art short films for over 15 years.
After a few years as a TV Commercial Director, I have amassed of useful, or useless, depending on how you look at it, knowledge to share about broadcast advertising production. - Since 1971, the Texas Film Commission has been assisting filmmakers with information on locations, crew, talent, weather, laws, housing and every other aspect of filming in Texas. There's plenty of experience at work here: over the past ten years, more than 500 film and television projects, with every size of budget, have shot in Texas. And Texas locations have frequently played for much more than Texas: Mexico, Manhattan, Morocco, Africa, Afghanistan, Kansas, Iowa and plenty of others.
