Zenmed | Zenmed Acne Scar Treatment Review

Zenmeds scar treatment kit is primarily marketed as an acne scar treatment, however, the primary purpose of the product is to lighten scars that are hyperpigmented.

Zenmeds scar treament kit consists of two products.
1. MicroDermabrasion Complex
2. Skin Eraser

These products work in conjunction to eliminate dead skin and to replace damaged skin with healthy new skin and in doing so lighten dark spots and hyperpigmentation from scars.

First of all, I would like to say that I did not get this product to use on acne scars. I got this product to use on a scar that resulted from surgery.

A year had past since I had surgery and I still had hyperpigmentation left from a scar on my hip. I was told at the doctors office that I could get a skin lightener to use on the scar that would help with the hyperpigmentation and enable the scar to fade more than it had.

The problem was this skin lightener cost almost $100. For me cost was an issue considering I didn't know whether or not this skin lightener would work at all.

After using other Zenmed products I came across the Acne Scar Treatment kit and I read in the ingredients that the ZenMed's skin eraser was a skin lightener. I decided to try it.

For facial acne it is recommended for best results to use the microdermabrasion and apply the skin eraser to skin imperfections or discoloration after.

I have not tried the microdermabrasion as I was only interested in a skin lightener. However, I might try the microdermabrasion product in the future for the benefits of skin rejuvenation and it's anti-aging properties. It's important to take care of the skin and one way is to remove damaged skin due to sun damage or environmental damage over time to create healthier looking skin.

Recommended Use - It is recommended that you use this product 3 times a week. However, I have used this product daily for the past two weeks given I have only been using the skin eraser without the micordermabrasion.

The Results - After 2 weeks I have noticed a considerable difference in the the darkness of the scar. The scar itself is becoming lighter. It hasn't disappeared, but it is lighter than before I used this product.

1. It's safe to use. Very little worry about allergic reactions or having permanent scarring because the ingredients are all natural and safe.
2. Has a 60 day guarantee - You can return this product is you are not satisfied.
3. Cost - Ok this is a Biggie! Compared to salon or medical alternatives you will save hundreds and in some cases thousands of dollars.

What I don't like about ZenMed's Acne Scar Treatment...

1. Doesn't work on all types of scars. It will not work on deep ice pick scars. For this you might want to consult a dermatologist.
2. It doesn't work overnight. The results take time and you have to use this product consistently to see results. However, if you compare other acne scar treatment options you will realize that there are none that completely work in one treatment. It will take many treatments to get the desired results.

Based on cost savings, quality of ingredients and safety of use I highly recommend ZenMed's Acne Scar Treatment kit.

Keep a realistic outlook. Try this product for a couple of months and see if your skin quality and scars improve. If not request your money back.

I suppose the way I feel about it is, I rather try something that is safe and has little to no side effects before I move on to something more invasive on my skin or body.

It costs hundreds to have a dermatologist or esthetician perform a chemical peel or microdermabrasion on your skin.

And worse yet, it costs thousands to have laser treatment or dermabrasion. The bottom line is... all these other treatments are more invasive and can have serious side effects which can leave your skin permanently damaged. Do the research before you invest or apply any product to your skin. Your skin is the largest organ in your body and it is important to take care of it.
